Choice was getting goal line carries when Fred went down last year and he is on pace for 250 carries this year. So again, why so worried?

Because most folks drafted him as their RB1 with the expectation that he'd be getting the lion's share of work in all situations. Splitting carries down the middle and not getting goal line love is reason for worry.

I'd be worried about Wilson in general, but not because of Jacobs. Jacobs has 4 carries for 2 yards so far -- not exactly a threat to Wilson's job.

Yeah, the big concern with Wilson is the potential fact that he just isn't a very good NFL RB.

according to some people posting in the David Wilson thread, he has "elite" talent.

This game against a good Carolina front 7 should reassure people, not scare them.

RG3 - not looking good so far. His receivers are also having a SERIOUS problem catching footballs, ironically enough.

This is the one that was telegraphed... he didn't play at all in the preseason. How could anyone expect him to be a top 12 fantasy QB? Let alone someone to pay decently for, as in top 6. Shocked at how high he was being drafted this year. I have him in one out of 10 leagues, as a backup to Manning in a 6 TD league because he went really late in an auction draft.

It's not like he hasn't been startable...24.85 week 1 in one of my leagues.

Pretty standard scoring.

Those are top 10 QB numbers, actually above what he averaged last year. The difference is that he isn't running and it's mostly junk time.

This is the problem---his fantasy numbers might look decent--but his actual football performances have been questionable (and understandably so). I think the main worry is that if he has another poor game--the skins might go to cousins and allow rg3 more recovery time. Certainly a situation to monitor.

It's not the yardage/what he did with his touches, it's the extent to which F-Jax is still involved in this offense (it's basically a 50/50 split after preseason suggested Spiller would be a true feature back) and Spiller isn't yet getting GL carries. I know he doesn't need a ton of touches to be effective and he showed that last year, but last year you didn't spend a top 5 pick on him. Those of us who own him expected him to help carry our teams to some extent, but now I'm just thinking I should have drafted McCoy instead. It's not that I'm unhappy with his output today - but with the way they are using F-Jax, his upside is limited and you're sweating on a huge play every week because he's not going to get the volume of carries and TD opportunities to have a reliable elite floor.

yeah--mccoy is producing--but look at who spiller is looking better than right now. I can't think of 5-7 rbs that i'd want ahead of spiller even with the way he started the season and even with fjax getting the goal line carries. As of this moment-- probably most of the 1st rounders haven't lived up to their values--t-rich, rice, marshawn..etc. I truly can think of tons of other players that I'd be worried about over spiller--- sjax, rice, ridley,david wilson, amendola, lacy, reggie bush, rg3, ryan matthews, mjd, roddy white, and maybe even fitz..etc.

That's not happening. RG3's starting status is safe as long as he doesn't get injured.

There's no chance Cousins starts unless RG3 is ruled out. Don't over think this. Unless you have a link that shows Shannahan is thinking this, you are just making something out of nothing

Carolina has done a pretty bad job of giving Cam weapons. Olsen was helpful, but their WR group is still lackluster.

Part of the problem is that they've whiffed hard when using early picks at the position (Jarrett, LaFell, Edwards).

It would be nice if they would make a commitment in the offseason and spend a couple top 100 picks to give their passing game a boost.

It seems like they are trying to make him more of a pocket passer and not only is it killing his fantasy value but it's killing the panthers and wasting great efforets by their defense. It's a shame that the offense cant put up pts bc if they could with that defense they'd be a playoff contender.

Sure....if you wanted to make case for Rivera's dismissal it would be the last two drives today. Winning teams, with supposed top 5-10 quarterbacks, are more aggressive in that spot. Rivera played it like the Panthers are the 1988 Cowboys and it led directly to a loss.

Fair point about the floor not being reliable, but as a spiller owner in two leagues, I'm not expecting him to be a bell cow. Despite what has been said, he strikes me as a guy who takes advantage of a tired defense, not necessarily one to wear down the d. More Carries would be welcome, but gee can do well without them.

This makes no sense at all. RG3 hasn't looked hurt, he's looked rusty. The way you stop looking rusty is by playing, not sitting.

If he didn't break the long screen pass for a TD last week, he wouldn't be performing as the top 5 WR he was drafted as. I understand Peyton won't throw 7 TDs each week and I understand they needed to get Decker back into things today, but here's to hoping DT comes back strong next week.

P.S. the Seahawks defense's performance vs the 49ers should make Panthers fans feel just a little bit better. Not completely better (or even close to it), but a little...

do not have Spiller, so I had to go see what everyone is talking about, I thought he did well, but I thought maybe I had it wrong.

16 rushes for 103 yards and 4 rec for 26 yards, yes no TDs, but these are productive good numbers, would 2 TDs be nice, yes! But really the only thing to complain about is F Jackson's TD.

I hope the owners in my leagues are unhappy with him, so I can pick him up in a trade

Kicker is about opportunity. Rams are moving the ball well enough, far better than last year. He'll get more tries than last week.

As for the D, they will hopefully abandon this soft-shell garbage and start playing to the strengths they showed last year. Yes, they'll get burned on occasion, but they'll also make plays. This sit-back-and-wait.... well, at least it'll ensure the Rams are in a shootout week in and week out.

Dropping Britt in leagues where I took a flyer on him. RG3 if he can't/won't run suddenly becomes a lot less appealing. Roddy White IMO is someone you have to trade if you're sitting at 0-2 in a redraft league(Bramel said that he may not be 100% until after the bye).

I know you can't just make these projections with the small sample size, but it seems odd to worry about or lose interest in a guy on pace for 5000 yards and 40 TDs.

The numbers are very misleading. He's scored 52 pts according to FBG. 60% of those points have been in the 4th quarter and 93% of those points have been while "trailing big". So basically he's been horrible when not playing against a prevent defense. I'd be worried if I was an owner.

I know you can't just make these projections with the small sample size, but it seems odd to worry about or lose interest in a guy on pace for 5000 yards and 40 TDs.

The numbers are very misleading. He's scored 52 pts according to FBG. 60% of those points have been in the 4th quarter and 93% of those points have been while "trailing big". So basically he's been horrible when not playing against a prevent defense. I'd be worried if I was an owner.

while I understand your point, the WASH defense has been PUTRID, giving up 50 points in the first half thus far. Nothing yet to indicate these garbage time situations won't continue.
