Poaching Losing Teams (1 Viewer)

So what is everyone's opinion as to poaching teams that aren't making the play-offs in ReDrafts. Stupid trades between these teams and solid teams just because the losing teams have given up and just don't care? For example...

Team A

Trades:

Jordy Nelson

Jermichael Finely

Team B Trades

James Starks

Brandon Jacobs

Ok so long as you giving up value for value and giving the "losing" owner a chance to win a game or two they would not have otherwise won.

Trade deadline has already passed in my league for just this reason (last week). Maybe you can sneak it in before then, but with 4 weeks of play left (weeks 10,11,12,13) its pretty sure no team is mathematically out (we take 8 out of 14 to playoffs). So we just avoid this entirely...

If either team is not doing the trade to improve their own gametime efforts, then they should face discipline, including being kicked out of the league.

i've made a living making deals with teams that are on the playoff brink. those owners are usually the ones most likely to hit the panic button and give quality for quantity.

trading with a team that has already been eliminated from playoff contention is bogus. period.

As long as the team at the bottom is improving, I don't care. In most cases to trade with a bottom rank team you have to offer a little more but at the same time since you're higher ranked you probably have some room to give. But if it's situation where one team is getting the clear upperhand then no it's not okay.

Personally I think teams should try to stay in it until they are 100% mathematically eliminated, so if someone does a deal where they just want one decent RB2 (say Jacobs) and maybe deal somewhat greater value to do that to win one game because they absolutely have to to try to stay in it I actually like that. What really drives me nuts are the owners who basically cave when they are 1-4, stop managing their lineups and meanwhile active competitive owners with better records start eating up all the good free agents.

It's lame, and owners with bad teams who unload great FF players to owners they want to see win, especially in lopsided deals, suck. I wouldn't play again with anyone who outright tried to pull crap like that.
