Pokemon Go (1 Viewer)

There was a hitmonlee near me today.... my understanding was that was Japan only.  First one I've ever seen.

I have a chat app that sends out reports of any rare pokemon in my city. I just have to been paying attention to it and then be willing to drive quickly to whatever location it spawn. On the first day my wife and I went out and drove around for 5 hours. She captured 21 new pokemons that she didn't have before. I snagged 14. Guys like Aerodactyl, Lapras, Weezing, Mareep, Larvitar, Miltank, etc.

We spent the whole time thinking it was a glitch. That it would end any minute. But it was still going the next morning. And it's still going even today. There was no formal announcement from Niantic about this change. So I'm not sure if it's a permanent change or not.

Yeah here in Florida I can tell you there are more instances of rare spawns over the last week or so.

 
A jinx nest just opened up at my daughters school.  Not a big deal to many but they are never around here.

It's not a pokemon app. It's just a chat app. Someone in my area has access to some scanners that browse the local API and then pushes out reports in this chat app for us all to see.

The chat app is called Discord. But if someone isn't doing the same thing in your area then it won't be much good to you.

 
rare spawns are going crazy. Caught a snorlax and a rhydon in the parking lot at work. A gengar at home. also other decent stuff like cyndaquil, mareep, phanfys growlithes  everywhere

I am seeing none of this, even though I am minutes away from you (at least while you are downtown).  I did wonder if the Easter event was starting yesterday as I got 10K eggs at back to back stops.

I'm not seeing anything crazy either.  I have gotten a few more 10k eggs than normal, but nothing that makes me think its part of an event.

 
I'm tempted to fire this back up on my lunch break in hopes of getting something interesting. If I come up empty, I may just uninstall to make room for some new games.  :(

 
Some of your guys are so lucky. Let see my nearby list: diglett. Rats, pidgeys and ponytas (they are everywhere you look here) 

 
I was thinking an Easter event would be announced today and run for a week (12th-19th). Maybe tomorrow we'll hear something.

i thought i had a pokemon go under my back porch but it ends up it was a skunk take that to the bank bromigos

I still haven't seen any announcement of an event, but things have definitely changed. Today I got a metal coat evolution item even though it is only the 4th day into my 7 day pokestop streak. I think we may also be getting extra candy for each capture, but not sure about that yet.

 
and the event has begun...seems like they did this early on, but its a good one.

just hit level thirty. and I have 9 incubators going at once

hatched another lapras on my 10k

the spawns have been amazing since 3pm EST... charizard. Scyther, Cyndaquils. blastoise. going for a walk after dinner. would like to hatch a bunch of eggs

 
Took my 14 yo son to the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market last Saturday. After it ended around 5pm, we started heading home. He asked if we could detour because there was a NidoKing near a church. I said sure.

We drive to the church but I drove by way too fast and there was no where to pull over so I said we'd circle around. This is the neighborhood right near the NJ State Pen. I make a left, a right and I end up in this alley. My spidey senses start tingling. Then I make a right turn right into a scene from The Wire. 3 kids on the corner in front of a liquor store. A kid on a bike flying across the street, the rest of the crew up the street about 6 houses sitting on a stoop. A shuffling junkie crossing the street. Spidey senses are definitely firing. We drive by the stoop and I give the nod and get up the street and make the right turn onto the street we need to be on. We park right on the street next to the Pen. The church is across the street and we get the Nido and split.

A few things...I've done this car ride back in the day (newark not trenton though) so I wasnt completely freaking. Also, it was still daylight. But I did have the boy so there was a little bit of freakage going on. Boy was completely oblivious staring at his phone to make sure we didnt pass it again.  I told him the whole thing once we were on the highway.

TL:DR - There's a NidoKing at the Church across the street from the NJ State Pen in Trenton.

Ugh, I have had pretty bad luck with the evolution items. 2 of the first 3 I got were sun stones, the last 2 I got were upgrade item. I have never seen a Porygon except in a gym so those upgrades are totally useless for me. Have even been trying different pokestop locations for my 7 day in a row reward hoping that different locations might help me get different evolution items. Doesn't seem to be working.

Bad luck continues. Today was day 7 of my streak and I got another upgrade item. 3 of my last 4 evolution items have been the upgrade item. :angry:

Tomorrow is going to be my second day 7.  Got the Sea King upgrade last week and I only have 13 candies.

really want the steel for a Steelix

I've had pretty good luck with them. I hatched 2 more Aerodactyls, Lapras and a Milktank. I also hatched a Larvitar from a 10k egg (they don't seem to be coming from 2ks as previously stated) and was able to evolve a Tyranitar.

 
2ks were okay (I have two more to finish up here today). Got a Tyrogue (which is pretty rare I think) an Onix which I turned into a Steelix and a Grimer.  The others were all stuff I had but were high IVs so I replaced the ones in my Dex.

i caught a Yanma yesterday also. 

Man, just one Aerodactyl is all I ask. That and a Muk would be great. 

 
Hatched a Tyrouge this am.  Like the 2k event but it's frustrating to get better stuff out of a 2k egg than a 5k.  I swear if I hatch another Parris I'm going to quit.

only 15 more KM till I get my near perfect Muk.

 
With the exception of a Lapras, its been under whelming here too.  2 Exeggutes, 2 Ghastlys, Magby, Abra....thats been my run of 2 eggs. 

4x's the points when using a lucky egg is going to be money.

Evolved a Muk (cp2025) last week.  Took a long time with him as a walking buddy.

Yeah it's taking forever but I'll be the only one in my area (out of the people I know) who have one.  Absolutely no grimmers in so Florida.

machop is next.  I caught a bunch the week I was in Vegas and hatched a few but I'm still 50 candy away from the Champ.

Same here on the event.  I bought a crap ton of incubators to clear out the pending eggs to make room for the 2Ks and then got nada until yesterday.  Yesterday morning I was getting tires on my car, so I walked the street around the shop and got 5 2K eggs in 6 stops.  I hatched all 5 yesterday evening and got an Aerodaytal, Onix, 2 Pichus & a Scyther (only one I already had of the bunch).  

Sort of off the current topic, but is there any reason to keep both Pichus and multiple Dittos?

Don't know about Ditto but you can evolve the Pichu of you care about the Pikachu medal

 
The only reason I don't play anymore is the GPS on my Note 4 sucks. Unless they update the app to include pedometer functionality I can't use it.

 
Finally hit level 30 last night.  I've had no luck catching a Snorlax worth a crap.  Pull in to the office at lunch and theres a CP 2600 sitting there....after about 8 rasberries and ultra balls he gets away. 

Pissed!  Glad my son wasn't with me, he'd be in tears.

Wish we could trade, I got my 3rd metal coat yesterday. :wall:

So far I think my evolution items have been 3 metal coats, 3 upgrades for Porygon and 2 sun stones. Wish there was a bit more variety around here, I've got 4 evolution items that I can't use taking up space in my backpack.

 
I think they kicked up the spawns today. Caught 3 dratini. 2 totodile. Cyndaquil and about 4 magic karps on a popular street around here. Yesterday caught a flaffy and a granbull there

 
I've been spending most of my time focusing on the medals recently. Currently working on the Pikachu medal. I think I can finish it in a few days

Special item #3 coming up tomorrow morning.  Fingers crossed.

 
So I'm officially heated.  Dragon scale #3 this am.  All from the same poke stop.  I'm giving it one more chance.  If I get another scale next week I'm done.

ended up hatching 7 2k eggs this am.  I think the theory that a Pokémon is determined when you get the egg is correct.  I ended up with a togapie, an onix, a Grimer, two bulbasaurs, a koffing and a growlith.  That's better than a normal 2k expectation.

I dont get.the near perfect IV thing. Why does that matter??? I mean gym battles are so janky anyway. My army of jolteons destroy the gyrados n vaporeon everytime
