Peers salute Tigers' Polanco

Tigers second baseman Placido Polanco was voted the most underrated player in baseball in a poll of major league players conducted by Sports Illustrated.
Polanco received 12 percent of the votes from the 495 players who responded.
Rangers shortstop Michael Young was second with seven percent of the vote. Mariners outfielder Raul Ibanez received six percent, while Phillies second baseman Chase Utley and Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez received five and four percent, respectively.
Players could not vote for their own teammate.
Polanco, who did not commit an error last season, has hit .319 over the last three seasons.
