I prefer livermush over scrapple. It's basically the same thing, but IME, mush gets a lot crispier.

Without looking at nutritional details, I'd think scrapple/mush would have far less fat, sodium, and cholesterol than bacon and sausage.

It's basically just hog liver and cornmeal. Maybe some head parts and some spleen. Maybe not everybody's cup of tea, but not any more unhealthy to eat than bacon or sausage.

On average bacon is probably the right answer, but there's a place around here that has fresh sausage that's really good, and a butcher near my sister's place that makes phenomenal sausage patties. If you get really good sausage I think it can top bacon.

I prefer sausage patties, then links, then bacon but love all 3 options. Another thing I love is taking a venison burger and adding a runny yolk egg on top of the meat. It really enriches the flavor of the meat.
