Settle an argument for me. What do people think about this? Feel free to answer the poll and give facts to back up your opinion if you wish.

He has had some injuries over the past 2 years, but for everyone to say he will not last a whole season is foolish. Personally, I think he is the better back in Washington and gives the Redskins the best shot to win.

No, he's not any more injury prone than any other NFL RB. Now a guy like Donte Stallworth. That guy is injury prone.

He does have a tendancy to get a bit dinged up during the course of a year, but what RB doesn't? All players have minor dents and dings throughout the year. He had two flukey injuries last year, if the Skins were in the playoff hunt he wouldn't have gone on IR.

Not sure I would slap the famous "injury prone" label on him, but I'm not as confident in his ability to stay healthy as some other RBs...

The results are extremely surprising thus far. I felt very confident that 60% of shark poolers would agree that he is injury prone. Seems to be one of those perception lessons...now I owe my brother a beverage of choice unless this turns around...

Before last year, he had missed only four games in four years. He had north of 700 carries in 2004/2005 combined. He is actually one of the more durable RBs in the league.

agreed. Portis plays very physical for his size. Watch the man pass block, he kills blitzers at times.

Name me one RB who doesn't get banged up throughout the season.

Portis is one of those who plays through those dings and still produces. Not only is he durable but also extremely tough.

He was playing through the seperated shoulder last season, only reason he was shelved for the whole 2nd half is that the Skins were out of contention, otherwise he woulda only missed 3-4 games with the broken hand.

No, I wouldn't consider CP injury prone, but I do think backing him up is a good move.

With his little nick-nack injuries over the past year, i am interested in backing him up with Betts. Mostly because I think Betts would be a good fill-in as opposed to say a Bennett in KC.

(Picked up Betts in 1 of 2 that I have Portis ...trying for the second. *fingers crossed*)
