With all the hype surrounding Torain I'd be curious to see what everyone is getting in trades.

I've traded him in three leagues, all dynasty.

I give Torain and a 2011 3rd rd pick for Owen Daniels and a 2011 2nd rd pick.

I give Torain and Santonio Holmes for Greg Jennings

I give Torain for Aaron Hernandez

I traded Torain to a contender for Donald Brown.

Those are all money trades for you. Good job.

Last week I offered him for Colston. I had RB (5 starters) depth and wanted a WR, he had 1 startable RB.

Got rejected. He opted to pick up Graham instead. I was high scorer for the week, with Torain on the bench.

I'll likely try moving him again NEXT week. Byes favor keeping him.

I would imagine dynasty owners who may be looking more towards the future than this season are concerned that he won't last very long, given his injury history and a perceived general lack of speed and skill.

Got Deangelo Williams and Vince Young. Was before the deadline, I was hoping Green Bay did the unthinkable and traded for DWILL

 
Dynasty League - players have comparable salaries (contract status in parenthesis)

I gave:

Ryan Torrain (Year 1 of 5)

I got:

Jonathan Stewart (Year 3 of 5)

 
Traded Torain and Nicks for Miles Austin. In hindsight it wasn't as good of a deal as I envisioned but I'm not quite kicking myself yet.

I'd like to add that I made this trade in a league that I have three top ten dynasty backs. I don't want to deal him in another dynasty and would not make the same deal in that league and he is starting for me in several, he was a luxury and wouldn't be used where sold. I think he has good value and is someone I am interested in keeping and acquiring more than selling. If injury were to hit moving him is the good move, if healthy he's someone with value.
 
I am in a bunch of leagues needless to say, but in the one league I have him, no one knows who he is or that his situation is a good one..... But I guess that why some leagues are more hardcore then others. :yes:

He did help me to a .4 victory this past week after my opponent texted thx for the win at 6:45pm eastern :kissofdeath:

A few things about Torain, he plays Detroit still and he is one of a few players getting all the carries. Rumor is he bruised his knee and thats why he was not in there in the fourth.

Torain train has officially gained steam, and is in line to do what LaDell Betts did after coming in for Portis a few years ago.

 
ill mix it up - I traded for Torrian in a Dynasty ...

I gave up Witten for Torrian, Gresham and a later pick

I am souring on Witten and like Gresham's upside in dynasty....plus really needed a #3 RB

 
Do you guys think he will still get the nod next season if he plays well this year .

Williams is no threat for carries and Portis is done ...

 
I've had him on the trading block in my dynasty league for several weeks now. The only offer that I've received for him is a 2011 3rd round pick, which I rejected (holds more value to me as 4th RB). I'd love it if someone made me an offer for him along the lines in this thread.

The way Shanahan flip flops with regards to RBs don't you think that carries substantial risk? More so than his injury past IMO.

It sure does, totally agree with you Hoss. I stand by my answer the way the question was formed, the question was asking if he has the job if he plays well this year.
 
Currently trying to trade Torrain in a dynasty league for R. Moss (non PPR)

At RB I have Benson, Mendy, Wells and Moreno - at WR R. White, Colston, Crabs, and DeJackson. Currently I'm 5-1 and figure Moss will put me into the Championship games (as well as help cover the bye weeks and injuries)

I like this for both sides. :lmao: For where I got Hernandez, I'm happy to have the top 2 dynasty TEs in the league. I've got enough depth to withstand the loss of Torain. Definitely helps you Patoons for this year. Thanks for the offer.
 
Why is everyone selling? I havent seen him much so maybe its something you guys know.

Is it that he is (slow) from most reports? Not in on passing situations thus meaning not a 3 down back?

Is it cause of his injury history and he did sit out the 4th with some knee issues.

I mean i know the reason of selling high, hench the perfect time to sell is now off a big game.
