Actually, I think he will be good for many years. If Kelley Washington can be a legit #2, I think CJ will be even better. Good pick IMO.So was Stewart. I don't like him talent wise, but he is a starter which is hard to come by at this stage.CJohnson has 1 year wonder written all over him, but his production last year and the lack of any of the QBs looking all that good make him my selection.
A wise strategy i share. the writing is usually on the wall with these types of players, some just choose not to read it.but i personally love cj. i'm higher than whitney houston on the guy.All that said, the only other WR i considered was JSmith and he slipped last year and I tend to shy away from older players that slip.
:rotflmao: That's pretty high.I also like CJ. I rank him around some of the other WRs left on the board( I won't tip my hand). With that being said, I always like taking the young up and comer over the veteran who is losing a bit. Plus, I like his situation in Cincy. Kitna can actually put up the numbers and the supporting cast( Dillon, Washington, Warrick) isn't all that bad.i'm higher than whitney houston on the guy.
Don't worry. You'll end up waiving George half way through the season for Artose Pinner and playing Thomas anyway. So Mason was a good pick.i.e. I'm not the biggest George fan.d'oh. wasn't even thinking when i selected mason to go along with eddie george. i don't fancy starting 2 titans.![]()
You definitely are having a very nice draft. I'd say that either you or Blackened Voodoo have the best team so far.Tom's up, and I'd say I have about an 80% chance of predicting who he'll pick. But I won't.Well, I obviously feel that I have the best team so far. Ive got my #1 RB, #3 WR, #5 WR, #12 WR and #6 QB. All that and a serviceable RB2.
Thanks, I really feel fortunate to land him there. Rice was the 26th receiver taken! The lowest he was ranked by any FBG was 22. With Holt, Booker, and Rice I feel pretty good about my WRs now. Also, Spartans Rule -- I tossed and turned a lot between Rod Smith and Jerry Rice before making up my mind for pick 6.1. I think Rice is a rock-solid choice at 6.5.
I've played in a lot of 14- and 16-team leagues. Once thing I can say for sure -- and this will be obvious to everyone -- is that once the draft is through, virtually every team will have a starting-lineup weakness. You just have to deal with it the best you can through the waiver wire, free agency, and trades. Also, a lot of the draft gambles you can get away with in a 12-team (and especially a 10-team) draft won't wash in bigger leagues.I'm amazed how different a 14 team draft is from a 10 or 12.I've felt about a half step behind in all my picks. Definitely should have gone RB with my first pick.
Well you know, he is the #1 rated FBG kicker. What's up with taking a kicker in the 7th? I think he would've been better off on "Tom Control"
Guess he wants to be "ahead of the run" on kickers.Well you know, he is the #1 rated FBG kicker.
Yeah, not real thrilled with that one. But it's a guy with a job, a good QB and some upside. As a #3 WR, not bad.I'm starting to think that in a league with halfway decent owners, it's just not a good idea to get into the "big three" TE run. I usually take TEs late, but I thought I'd try something new here. I'm paying for it.btw, i hope operation shutdown didn't pull a muscle reaching for wayne.![]()
