Products you believe in - Let's hear 'em (1 Viewer)

Speaking of luggage - anything revolutionary (other than the 360 degree spinning wheels) happen over the last 15 years? We're still rocking the same luggage, but it'll probably be time for something new soon. Looking at both short term (non checked bags) and long term (checked bags) type stuff.
I backed this on Kickstarter:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/barracuda/barracuda-collapsible-luggage-tray-gps-usb-charger

Looks pretty nice. We will see.
I like the idea of people creating products on kickstarter but are you really going to use a "work tray" and mess with charging a battery inside a bag?
I think those were pretty good items personally  especially the charger. Charging stations suck b/c you either have to abandon your phone or just hover around it
Theyre integrated into the tables in the seating areas. Don't need to leave your phone or hover anywhere.

Those seats go quick typically

Those seats? You got a row of 10 seats and 6-8 usb chargers in each row.

In what airport(s)? I've never seen this setup in the 20 something airports I've been to in the past couple years. Hopefully this trend catches on.

For bike commuters, this garment bag is the best I've found for those who need to bring a pressed shirt, pants and jacket in reasonably good condition. It is very heavy, but durable and can carry everything. You will need a sturdy rear rack. Riding with a full suit, shoes + laptop in a heavy rain? Not a problem with this bag.

Nashbar Commuter Garment Pannier

Found this bag on kickstarter (Bomber & Co) and got it two weeks ago. Used it on a fishing trip last week and was very pleased with it.

It was the perfect size to take on the boat and not have it take up a ton of room. I was able to get a camera, jacket, shirt, hoodie, rain gear and several bottles of water into it and had room to spare. It is water repellent but not water proof. It was splashed numerous times with any issue. I used the smaller bag that comes with it to hold all of my charging cables and what not. Worked out great.

If you are interested it came with a $25 off code: BOMBER7

gaba

been taking 3 of those on an empty stomach before bed and it really helps my mind slowdown so I can crash. wake up refreshed with no foggy benadryl feeling.
Have you taken it during the day at all?
hi ned,

have not tried them during the day although I believe i have read it helps some people with either ADHD or some other disorder.

my issue has always been when i lay down my mind starts thinking did I do this or this needs to be done, etc.

GABA has got rid of that for the most part and I sleep well now.

the 3 is more than advised but that is the dose that works for me.

have had 2 coworker's try it and it worked for 1 but not the other, so YMMV.

I know when it's kicking in because I get a kind of tingling feeling in mouth which I have no idea why.

For those that enjoy BBQ/smokers - my mom got me one of these Looflighters for a bday a couple of years ago, and I love it. Easily cuts 20 minutes off the time to be ready to smoke vs using charcoal with the chimney and using whatever method you want.

So it's a fan?
Not really. That thing gets super hot, and blows the hot air to fan it, yes, but it lights the briquettes as well. I can have coals ready for my smoker to start in less than 10 minutes using it, start to finish.

Not sure how I feel about that thing. I use newspaper to light mine, so it takes about 30 minutes.

30 minutes of glorious "honey, I'm starting the fire" time. Where I can sit and look at the grill and drink a beer without her nagging on me.

I used to use newspaper as well. It is great to get it started and I am confident you could find another reason to hang out by the embers.

BGE owner and love the Looftlighter. Great product!!
A heat gun does the exact same thing, costs half as much, and will last forever.

It doesn't look as cool though.

Does the heat gun have the high air flow to promote the faster burn? I ask because this is my only experience with the product and the combo heat and blowing seems to be what really gets it going.

You believe in too many things. Since these can't all be good, I'm choosing to not believe in any of them.

Do you have to hold that Looflighter thing until the coals are started/ready?

Even if it has the coals blazing hot in 2-3 minutes, I'm not sure I'd want to stand there holding it for 2-3 minutes. Chimney can really be ready in 10 minutes (or at least ready enough to go ahead and dump so you can heat up the grill and clean the grates), and that's 10 inactive minutes where you can walk away and do something else (or drink beer pretending to do something).

I know this would be faster than a plumber's torch (which is pretty fast and fun), but I got sick of using it for that reason.

Ahem. . .

I seem to recall a FBG that gives other FBG's killer deals on Maui Jim's, among other brands. Can't quite remember who. . .

I have this backpack I use for bike commuting and just about every other thing you'd use a backpack for. It's awesome.
I've got the exact same on in Orange.
I got this bag a year ago. Best bag I have ever had. http://www.timbuk2.com/especial-medio-cycling-backpack/435.html
Nice
Holy crap that looks familiar -- are we in the same Home Ec class?
That's a sweet bag even for the non-serious cyclist.

Costco rules. We kicked Sams Club to the curb - that place sucks. It's just a bigger Wal-Mart.
Neither here, closest is about 30 miles away, but we are getting a Sam's soon. Yay? <_< We've been teased with Costco for years, maybe now that Sam's is coming Costco will follow.
Don't know anything about your market, but the bolded might not mean much. Sam's has been in the city I live in and the city I come from both for around 20 years, give or take, with no Costco in sight. I'd assume a city needs to be up well over 100K for a market to support both.

I'd love to have a Costco too, but I like Sam's quite a bit.
we're moving to an area that has both a Sam's and costco. Sam's is closer by about 10 miles, and we've had a Sam's membership for 5 years now and use it twice a month on average, mostly for fruit and stuff for the kids' lunches.

Is costco worth the extra half hour (driving both ways)?
