Products you believe in - Let's hear 'em (2 Viewers)

I put together a cold weather car emergency kit for my daughter's vehicle.  Here's the stuff I picked up:

Emergency blankets

Traction mats

Collapsible shovel

Paracord (pack of 7, 5 of which are for stocking stuffers)

Homemade heater in a can

Old skool car lighter

I also threw in some gloves, thermal underwear, and socks.

I'm not going all doomsday prepper - I just want her to have some gear if she goes off the road.
Do you live on a homestead in the Alaskan wilderness? Maybe just give her a cel phone instead?

I love almost every hot sauce I've had from Fuego Box. 100% success rate on green sauces, and pretty high on other sauces too. Love their subscriptions, like their shop. It's amazing.

You know we have a resident hot sauce guy here on FBG?  Won awards and stuff too. Has online store.

I'm like 90% sure the jalapeno sauce was included with a Fuego box one time. It was delicious! Will be getting some, @Hot Sauce Guy
Both of my jalapeño sauces have been featured in Fuego Box. The Green Label, a fire-roasted jalapeño Serano and roasted garlic sauce; as well as Purple Label which is a hickory smoked jalapeño sauce with figs and apples.

They’ve also had Brown Label ( mustard chipotle) &  year of the dog ( Thai chili pineapple)

Now that I think about it, they also have the exclusive release of my newest sauce, El Perro Afortunado. :)

 Really glad you liked it!

It's called the "Trim Puller".  My latest home improvement project was to take up vinyl flooring and carpet and replacing them with engineered hardwood.  The provider suggest leaving the trim on, laying down the 1/2 inch wood and where the wood meets the trim, put down 1/2 inch quarter round.  My existing trim is only 3" tall, maybe a little more so I was not liking only around 2" of trim showing.  I told him I would take all the trim off (oak trim), and number them all and the wall if they would put it back on after laying down the floor.

He said to go ahead but plan on buying a whole lot of additional trim because they would break while taking them off...not to mention the damage I would do to the sheet rock.  Well, I found the "Trim Puller" and it rocks!  It looks like a hand held hoe but the blade is beveled so when you strike it with a hammer the trim is pulled away from the wall.  I just completed taking the trim off of my dining room, kitchen, and great room in less than a day and not one single piece of trim broken.  For what it's worth I used a rubber hammer...easy, peazy.  Great, great product.  Here is a link with a video of how it works:             https://www.amazon.com/Zenith-Industries-ZN700001-Trim-Puller/dp/B01572REP4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1515269961&sr=8-1&keywords=trim+puller

I've had a Tivo for 17 years. I'm on my second as I upgraded from the standard def to the HD model in 2007.

Last week I had my first problem with the 'new' one. The power supply crapped out. $100 for a refurbished one, swapped out with no issue. Just unscrewed the old circuit board and put the new one in.

10 years with one part failure is pretty good for a complicated piece of modern electronics. I'm sure the hard drive will die someday, I think for $80 I'll be able to replace that easy when it does.

I love the TiVo boxes. I just wish the company supported the old ones better. But it's perfect for what I use it for and totally reliable.

Trying to use my parents DVR while I was home for Christmas was painful. Every other box sucks.
Tablo's interface is rather poor, but TiVo is expensive for three TV's

Could you be more specific?  Mr R likes the bathsheet type of towel  I see Turkish towels on their site.  Are those the ones?
I think that's them, look the same. High thread count, heavy cotton towels but super soft and absorbent.

I checked the tag. Just says 100% genuine Turkish cotton, so it could be the other ones. Probably can't go wrong either way.

I hooked mine up today, set it up outside, and just watched my wife drive in on the night vision.  We'll see how it does outside over time.

I read that the night vision doesn't work through glass.
That one's still doing well in a brutal winter.  I just received a second one and installed it in the chicken coop - now we have chicken cam, which amuses my family to no end.  You can talk to them and they perk up and look around.

You could probably charge subscribers $19.99 / month for access to the CoopCam.

Where is the power source you are hooking up to for these outdoor cameras?

The chicken coop had 120 VAC in it already for a water heater, winter morning light, and temerature-activated incandescent light for heat.  I was more worried about wifi reaching there, but it does.

The driveway cam is plugged in through a window crack to an outlet in the garage - I had to get a longer USB cord for that one.  I’ll take another look at that in the spring when it’s warmer to see if I can come up with a better solution.

I'd like to install one that shoots down the driveway.  The nearest power source is the external lights.  Just need to figure out the best way to tap into the electric there.

If the external lights use a normal bulb and you want to go the very simplest route, there are light bulb socket adapters that also have a built in outlet.

I've got a photocell adapter plugged in already, so that won't work.  But as I think this through, the best route might be to mount the camera under the soffit and then run the wiring up into the attic above the garage and plug into the ceiling outlet where the opener is plugged in.

This  might solve your problem.  I just replaced my floodlights with it and love it.  The only problem I had was that it is not really designed to mount under a soffit like the existing floodlights were.  It will work from that position, but I went ahead and remounted my outlet box for a vertical installation.

I may have asked this before, and if I did, I clearly did not follow through.

I need a glove recommendation that is fairly warm, suitable for a light construction environment, and allows enough mobility to take field notes.

I've been wanting to get that. Already have 2 other Ring devices. But you mention a soffit, the box i want to mount it in is up under a second story soffit where my existing flood lights are now. My back door is below it and bout 10-12 feet to the left. Is the camera flexible/moveable enough to go almost straight down, and slightly to the side? I know it won't give me a great view off anyone's face, but if they are poking around my back door, i just want to know about it and scare them off.

Yes.  You should have no problems with that.  In fact the design should lend itself to that pretty well.  It only becomes limited if you want it to look out and away from the house when mounted under a soffit, and even then it still works pretty well.

What does back pain have to do with a supertoilet?
He turns it to full blast and washes his disks from the inside out.

ETA:  I have one of those too and love it.

I have lower back sciatica pain, and recently bought a TEND unit off of Amazon.  It really loosens up the muscles, and was amazingly cheap under $20 iirc.
I am literally laying in bed using one of these right now after my back seized up earlier this week.  Highly recommended for those with lower back pain.   I think they are called TENS machines.  This is the one we go https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N0QBR8H/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, because it is more of a service rather than a product, but I have been extremely happy with PillPack since late last year. I have two types of pills that I take a couple of twice per day. You get all of the pills that you take at each 'event' (morning, evening, etc) in a small pack on a roll that you place in a container similar to this. The packs are easy to tear off of the roll and open. Based on this picture, they will send other products like inhalers and other medicines; I have had only dealt with them for pills. They also provide you with a small package to take a bunch of the packs when you travel.

Because of my seizures, I am unable to drive; PillPack makes it easy for me to make sure I have my pills. Also because of the way they are packaged, I can make sure that I take them properly. When I started, it was easy to get them to contact my pharmacy to switch over the prescription, and to contact my Dr. for future prescriptions. They also take my insurance and my 'benefits card' that we use to pay for medical 'purchases.'

Overall it is great, if not for you for parents that need to have medications; I know in the past I have been poor with my meds, so it would work for older folks!!

For anyone who likes scented candles, I love Little House Candles.  It's a family owned and run business, which I will always prefer to support over a big company.  The people who work there are great, the candles are excellent and are half the price of Yankee Candle for the same size, and the customer service is great.  This is one of those finds where I wish I had found them sooner because they are so much better than any of their competitors IMO.
