Indy might very well move up to take Young. I got no idea. They don't normally prioritize smaller players and they might be making an exception with Young but is that exception worth trading up?
I’ve been on here saying they’d deal up for Stroud for a while now & I still think that happens. He’s the safest of the QBs I like the Burrow comps. I think he’s the best fit for them, too.
Stroud’s OSU numbers are almost exactly the same as Fields. Burrows numbers were better than either of those two, but so were Mac Jones’. People can make whatever comparisons they want to make. But I scratch my head if folks think Fields can’t hit the broadside of a barn. I’ve seen a lot of Fields and Stroud in college. I’d say they were pretty equal as passers but Fields is much more of a dual threat and can extend plays. IMO, in a different draft class, Fields would have been drafted much earlier.
But…I didn’t compare Stroud to Fields.
Stroud is more accurate from what I’ve seen, and has better touch on short/intermediate throws.
Obviously Fields is more mobile, but Stroud has some underrated mobility that I believe we’ll see more of in the NFL.
The last two times I’ve seen Stroud he’s done nothing but impress, in the Peach Bowl, and at the underwear Olympics. Didn’t he just set a record for accuracy in testing?
I think the Burrow comps are fair. You’re entitled to believe what you like of course, this is just like, my opinion, maaaaaan.
