Yeah, I think that makes sense. Despite being very different QBs, Hoyer and Bortles are actually comparable right now. Both are mediocre QBs with decent weapons (or in Hoyer's case, weapon) who have been putting up decent numbers all year, mostly based on volume, but in neither case would you be shocked if they came crashing down to earth.Had this guy rostered but dropped him to pickup Alex Smith for a week bye filler (London blowout of the Lions - perfect.) Immediately dropped Smith to alternate BB & TT. That hasn't gone as planned the last two weeks.
Thinking about dropping the fading Taylor to pickup Hoyer. That would give me two volume guys with decent ROS schedules.
If I were you, I'd roll with both and keep playing match-ups until we have a little more clarity as to which one (if either) is actually good.
