He’s going to finish as a top-12 fantasy QB again. I still think he’ll be criminally under appreciated again. I don’t know what more people need to see to believe, but it’s tough to shake that Mr. Irrelevant title for some.
I don’t know. CMC, Kittle, Pearsall, him and Jennings had a nice chemistry last year. And Aiyuk will be back eventually. I feel like his weapons are solid, assuming CMC and Kittle stay healthy.
I know folks worry about Deebo leaving, Aiyuk being injured and blah blah blah but when you've got CMC and Kittle you can pretty much run scrubs out for wide receiver and they look like studs.
Having a hard time getting excited about his targets at this point. Deebo gone, Jennings with a “calf” injury and wanting new contract, Aiyuk probably not useful until later in the season. I like Purdy as a QB, just do not see the upside this year.
I mean last year he had Aiyuk for all of seven weeks(and he wasn’t really playing well outside of one week) no CMC, and Deebo was ineffective and in and out of the game as usual and he still finished as a QB1. Oh, and basically no Pearsall either.
I admittedly overlooked that if that was the case, I will have to give a closer look.
The team is pretty panicked about its short term WR situation right now. If the season started tomorrow they'd be starting Pearsall and Robbie Chosen or Russell Gage. CMC and Kittle are obviously elite weapons, and Pearsall has had a great camp, but a good offense will need more production out of their wideouts than I think they can count on at the moment.
I was thrilled to make him my QB2 (paired with Baker) in a dynasty start-up a few weeks ago.
I know you said if the season started tomorrow, but have you seen anything that indicates Jennings is in danger of missing Week 1?

Most local reporters believe it’s contract-related, but no one will go out on that limb without cautious language because it would probably piss off Jennings & be a bad look if he really was hurt.
He's just good at football and has good people around him. That's a deadly combo. I was on the Lance side of things a few years ago and have pivoted hard to Purdy. Weirdly, he's still underrated.

Not having Kittle hurts - Jennings hopefully will be back and Pearsall/CMC gives him 2 solid weapons. Im still a fan and love that O and schedule.
Yes, down the road things may be different. But it's hard to start him at this point.
