QB Daniel Jones, IND (1 Viewer)

Crazy how CLE gave up on Mayfield...then CAR...then LAR. He was so close to being out of the league. Now he's arguably top 5.
The Rams didn't give up on him. They had Stafford and no intentions to move on from him.

And, this is the eternal question about Baker (all players, really): would he be the same player we see today if Cleveland didn't give up on him?

IMO Sean McVay + Liam Coen >>>>> Kevin Stefanski + Alex Van Pelt

Maybe Daniel Jones has found his perfect NFL match. Maybe it's a mirage. Time will tell.

Man, I really hope he has a rebirth in IND and I'm rooting for him. But I still have this overwhelming sense that it's all smoke and mirrors. As the season progresses, teams will start to figure him out and he'll come back down to Earth.

Just saying....in NY we saw a lot of fail.
The whole team and organization at that point was a **** show. Expecting every fresh high new pick and coach to immediately win the super bowl. That's just not a thing.
I'm no film expert - hence I'm here as a new owner - but the lowlight reels I did see looked like errors from over-pushing.

He can run, and he can throw. And he's in what looks like a good spot.
His arrow is up and the ceiling is rising.

I'm between DDollars @Ten or Love @CLE, that's a tough call.

Agreed. He's certainly shown flashes of high ability...just highly inconsistent if not subpar. Maybe in IND the spotlight isn't as bright and he can just be a guy here and relax? We'll see as the season goes on. He'll either play himself into a nice paycheck, or be playing as a backup next year.

With that said, I am starting him against TEN. I don't have any other options. TEN defense isn't a joke, but neither was DEN.

He's a Sam Darnold that can run. Josh Allen-lite

I hate that I believe this is here to stay, but I do. Give Jones time to hit the skill players in Indy (who I've always felt were more dangerous than given credit for) he will be a good fantasy, and real life, QB this year. DannyPenny has it in him to create dollars a quarter of the time, and this year he's tossing dimes and carving the defense's nickle.

OK, I might have stretched on the last one, idk how he performs against nickle D.

I am also confident that he will make a handful of baffling mistakes on par with when a CB just grabbed the ball from his hand like it was nothing. He will never be a Superbowl qb. Will win a playoff game, or two depending on the defense.

Remember that Shane Steichen was the OC 2021-2022 with the Eagles.
He coached Hurts and you can tell he has been looking for a dual threat QB in Indy with ARich.
I would say maybe he found his Hurts-lite QB.

Right now he's got the comeback player of the year in his pocket. I hope he can keep this up. That franchise was due some good Luck (pun intended) for a change.

are any of y 'all trying to sell "high" or do you think waiting a few more weeks to sell a little higher?
As someone who lost Burrow I feel very fortunate to have got Jones off waivers, so I’m definitely holding. I have Browning as well, but we saw how that just went.

I’m a Daniels and Lawrence owner. Picked up Dimes. One is getting cut this week. It ain’t him. Love what I see. Is just making good decisions and quality throws. Could have had a bigger game yesterday but it was JT’s day

I say Allen because they have similar brutal running styles.

It's only reason I bid a bit more than wanted for him..QBs a taking a beating this year. I'm going to try and get a decent wr for Jones. Want to wait 2 more weeks for his value to go up.

What Jones is doing is no fluke. I just want to make sure others have no doubts either so I get good value for him..

The schedule shapes up nicely too. Five certainly difficult defenses @ Rams (week 4), @ Chargers (7), @ Chiefs (12), @ Seattle (15) and v SF (16).

v Raiders (5), v Cardinals (6), v Titans (8), v Falcons (10), v Texans (13), @ Jaguars (14), v Jaguars (17)

@ Steelers (9) looks very good ATM but, I never count a Tomlin team out. The Jags D has been tough and the Texans D definitely has talent but this is a nice schedule.

I'm in a 10 team SF league with Lamar, Nix & I picked up Jones. I want to trade him but I may try to move Nix because, regardless of performance I think people will value him more. Probably going to wait until after this week @ the Rams to see if he can handle a tough road matchup.

It's been a while, but we are having some QB depth issues in 2025.
Burrow, Fields, Daniels, Purdy out.
Stroud, Lawrence, Murray, Tua, Penix, Love, Knix are all mediocre.

When you have a QB like Jones that has a pulse and he can run, it's tough to sell unless you have the top 3.

Nobody is trading for Daniel Jones
maybe in superflex. but not in any league that starts only 1 QB.
I did in a 2QB league with a 3QB roster limit after losing Burrow and Daniels. Desperation time.
a 2 QB league is nearly the same as superflex. in a 12 team 2 QB league the scrub QB are worth more than they are in a superflex league but otherwise the valuation of your QB is almost the same.

I have a few extra picks in my superflex dynasty. I am thinking about throwing an offer for him, but I haven't gotten to watch him yet. Is he more of a Geno Smith or Sam Darnold where it is a one year wonder or is he on the Goff/Mayfield plan where this is career changing and we get a solid qb 1 going forward?

The offense looks so simple.
I can't get over it.
Copy this stuff and use it for every rookie QB

hes playing behind a line thats not horrible. I think he will be ok.

I’m not starting him over Mahomes but the fact that it even crosses my mind sometimes really says something.
Until Rashee Rice gets back, it's not out of the question to start Jones over Mahomes.

I wouldn't this week because of the matchup but, I'd consider it for sure.
