Dude is such a Pollyanna. I respect his press conference hustle, but it's all so lofty and meaningless. Did he cry this time?

Killing it!!As one of the biggest Carr trashers here, I gotta say, dude is balling out.
Laugh reactionKilling it!!As one of the biggest Carr trashers here, I gotta say, dude is balling out.
I am sure he will keep it up. I heard it takes most QBs 10 years to really find their groove.
Yeah, I mean could it just be that Carolina is awful and Dallas made it easy by not really trying to stop the run? Play action works incredibly well when you run it for 8 yards a carry.Killing it!!As one of the biggest Carr trashers here, I gotta say, dude is balling out.

What the **** was this and also what was shaheed doing?Warren Sharp
Derek Carr is so terrible under pressurex.com

he's gotta get healthy, but im all over it if he playsBump T. Hill.
What about Rattler? I know he’s 3rd string, but he could emerge.Bump T. Hill.
I think he willThoughts on Carr coming back and rest of year?
Do we really believe this? Or is just GM speak?
Mike Garafolo
From The Insiders (which is live now on @nflnetwork): #Saints GM Mickey Loomis indicated Derek Carr is his QB in 2025 but there are financial questions that still must be answered before we know that’ll be the case for sure.
I believe it, they aren't gonna find anyone better than Carr, its just a matter of whether this is the year they try and finally get on the good side of the cap or not.Do we really believe this? Or is just GM speak?
Ian Rapoport
#Saints starting QB Derek Carr, after numerous talks with the team about his 2025 compensation, is getting most of his salary converted for salary cap reasons, per me and @MikeGarafolo.
Carr sticks after all in New Orleans, and he’s set to make his full $40M.
That's sneaky big news. I thought New Orleans made a lot of sense for Sanders in the draft, both to reset the cap a bit, and rebuild on the fly.Ian Rapoport

I get the move for New Orleans, Carr is a solid QB, and I like Kellen Moore, but that likely takes them out of QB drafting until round 3 at the earliest, if at all, they might just stick with Rattler behind Carr.
Saints QB Derek Carr: Me either boo.Saints HC Kellen Moore: I have no other options
He will take and like it……or should that be lump it?Saints HC Kellen Moore: I have no other options
He's my backup in one league unfortunately, so FUDGE!!!This potentially could shake up the draft a tad
(Rotowire) Carr (shoulder/hand) is nursing a shoulder injury that may require surgery and could impact his availability for the 2025 season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Carr, who missed seven games in 2024 (including the Saints' final four contests) due to a left oblique injury and a fractured left hand, is now dealing with an injury that could significantly impact the Saints' coming year, as well as the team's decisions in April's draft. Further details regarding the veteran signal-caller's injury should be forthcoming, but Rapoport reports that surgery is among the options being considered by Carr and New Orleans. With only Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener and Ben DiNucci currently available behind Carr on the depth chart, the Saints figure to be increasingly motivated to explore remaining free agency options at quarterback, and the team's decision at No. 9 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft could now more realistically trend toward the position.
Wonder if that frees up another potential spot for Rodgers? Saints can always keep finding a way to keep kicking the can down the road. This potentially could shake up the draft a tad

Rodgers on an average at best team with a rookie HC seems like an accident waiting to happen.
