QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson, PHI (1 Viewer)

FBG rankings REALLY like DTR this week.
It’s not him they like. It’s all about the terrible team he’s facing. A lot of us would have started Jameis in our semis against the Bungles D.
True, but DTR hasn’t shown much at all throwing the ball. I believe he’s had 1 TD to 7 interceptions. Even in a great matchup, I’d have to have some really bad options to feel comfortable starting him.

Jameis is a terrible decision-maker and turnover machine, but he can also consistently push the ball downfield.

If FBG rankings are ranking him highly, I think their rankings are wrong. This is a professional (yes, not very good) defense. Dorian Thompson-Robinson is not a professional quarterback yet. I doubt he makes any noise, fantasy-wise, and one would hope one had a better option at QB (I know there’s desperation this time of year).

Yeah, I think the Bengals defense is the play here, and a very strong one. DTR is every bit as bad (probably more so) as Ridder.

DTR showed nothing any time he was on the pitch over the last 2 seasons. I’m into the semis and have dropped some good Ds with bad matchups for the Bengals.

I don't know about quieting critics; Washington's defense is one of the worst in the Pac12. Maybe the country. But he has improved a LOT this year, especially with his accuracy. Still lacks a strong arm on deep balls, but he can move for sure. I think he was viewed as a 6th rounder this summer; maybe that's improved, but he was never touted as anything more than a late round pick/undrafted FA.

Plus, look at their schedule so far:
- Bowling Green
- Alabama State
- South Alabama (they almost LOST that game)
- Colorado (the only defense worse than UW in the Pac-12)
- UW (dumpster fire defense)
- Utah

Now, Utah was a big time win for UCLA. And this game against Oregon is huge. I'll be there, but I don't think we're looking at a bona fide starting NFL caliber QB here. Hell, he might be the 2nd best QB at Autzen on Saturday. Bo Nix has been incredible since his dud vs. Georgia.

Think this was salient.

I like the guy, I’m surprised so many are this skeptical.

Tex
Likely the 1:7 TD to Interception ratio, or the fact that he never topped 200 yards passing.
He was over whelmed in the BAL game last yr he found he was starting the morning of. He appeared increasingly competent in the 1.5 game cameo he received later in the season before getting injured and Flacco getting the call. The entire team appeared disinterested in the CIN game, in large part because of who started that game, so I don't think expecting them to suddenly flip the switch midstream when injury allowed DTR to get the call was reasonable.

Don't get me wrong- I don't expect him to be an answer and am prepared for a blowout Sunday. I can see how this may play out differently though.

Well-run teams never cease to amaze. Eagles trade a complete and utter bum and his gloves for a different bum with a glimmer of hope and get a free draft pick to boot. Howie continues doing work for his team.
