The pick, it was hard to get a good view on whether he was held.Evans been held two plays in a row now.rough night continues. That looked like clear PI or holding, though.
He wasn't just held, damn near tackled. The long pass to Evans was under thrown, no doubt. The pick, it was hard to get a good view on whether he was held.Evans been held two plays in a row now.rough night continues. That looked like clear PI or holding, though.
Backup center got a little excited.Oof, under throws Evans then drops the snap. Mama said there'd be days like this...
Both TB and Tenn olines have looked terrible, through 1 preseason game.Lost in all Winston's poor passing is he's getting hit early and often. O line not getting the job done.
All in...even with the backup OL.The fact that Winston is still in there shows real commitment on TB side.
They got no business trotting out the franchise QB behind the backup OL.All in...even with the backup OL.The fact that Winston is still in there shows real commitment on TB side.
If he slid correctly, yes. But he pretty much went headfirst.Lol calling for a flag.
That should have been a flag.
Good point. His footwork was awkward all night...I hope nerves but agree he's going to stumble into regular concussions if he keeps that up.Some good, some bad, about what you'd expect from a rookie QB in his first preseason game.
I'd be more concerned about the fact that he apparently doesn't know how to slide feet first. He's dove headfirst three times in the first half of a preseason game. He's going to spend a lot of time in the training room if he keeps that up.
Jeebus. Who is out there...Mathis?Bucs just lost their best lineman with 12 seconds left in the first half of the first preseason game.
He's a guard. Pretty much nobody. ?Jeebus. Who is out there...Mathis?Bucs just lost their best lineman with 12 seconds left in the first half of the first preseason game.
What about the pudgy guy in Ballers who looks like Forest Whitaker?Jeebus. Who is out there...Mathis?Bucs just lost their best lineman with 12 seconds left in the first half of the first preseason game.
Gators lost to Georgia Southern who completed 9 less passes than Winston did tonight.Glennon looks like Glennon, so at least the dumb (Gator) fans have no ammo.
His footwork seems fine on his initial read, but when he resets and goes to his 2nd/3rd reads he doesn't yet seem to get his front foot positioned properly. This effects his accuracy on those secondary reads and he ends up high on those throws or looking like a pitcher falling off the mound. He'll get there but it could be a rough first month or two until his body and head are working at the same speed.Good press conference, and the first thing he mentioned was working on footwork.
That explains his trouble with them in college - he didn't know they were defending the pass!“I think the biggest difference is the linebackers,” Winston recently told Ron Jaworski of ESPN, via JoeBucsFan.com. “In college, you don’t have linebackers that can actually defend the pass. These guys out here, you know, they’re jumping seam routes.”
