This scenario had been mentioned in the past with the Eagles doing a leap up the draft board to #12 and the Browns moving down for QB Nick Foles. Then the Eagles could move-up from #12 to #2 giving up their #20 pick to land Mariota. If he makes it to the Browns, the Eagles may very well trade Bradford for Mariota. There was some speculation that it was the Browns who offered the #19 for Bradford. Maybe something like Bradford + 20 for 12 + some mid round pick.no way he gets past both of the Browns' picks.Won't have to move up at all or even start right away. Well trade back and grab him at 24.Deamon said:He sucked on purpose. Wants to slip to #20 or make it so Philly doesn't have to give much up to move up for him.
So if someone has speculated the Eagles could do the same thing, doing a leap-frog move up the board to #12 using Sam Bradford as bait and then completing the rest of the deal the same way, well I've heard the exact same thing a month ago where the Eagles would have used Foles so basically the same thing has been brought up before.
Where did you hear that? I heard the same idle chatter on a Browns radio program so I think their has to be a kernel of truth somewhere behind this. Maybe if Mariota starts to fall a little further down the board rather than trying to move-up from #12 to #2. Maybe even if he only falls to #3 or #4 then one of those teams might be interested. I dunno but I had heard basically the same thing but before the Bradford/Foles deal went down.
