QB Mike White, Miami Dolphins (1 Viewer)

Not surprisingly, no thread on this guy, so I decided to start one after today's performance.

As I write this the Jets have a 34--31 lead with a little over 2 minutes to so.

Mike White's numbers for the day so far:

37 of 44 for 405 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs

I have to laugh, I didn't realize in one of my leagues that both Lamar Jackson and Derek Carr were on a bye this week and by the time I did, there was only one starting QB left on my league WW, so in desperation had to take Mike White. As of the moment he has scored 35.5 points.

Desperation pickup and start for me with L Jackson and Carr on bye. Sometimes these things do work out

Jets QB Mike White was forced from Thursday evening's game against the Colts with a right (throwing) forearm injury and is questionable to return.

For goodness sakes. White had a shaky first drive but cooked on the second, capping it off with a 19-yard touchdown strike to Elijah Moore. White identified a coverage bust from Xavier Rhodes and did not miss. Unfortunately, he smacked his throwing arm on DeForest Buckner on his follow through. White appeared to be in a good deal of pain on the sideline, doing everything he can to shake out his hand to no avail. Josh Johnson is now in the game with Joe Flacco, for some reason, inactive. It's a "you've gotta be kidding me" development for a team with No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson on the shelf. We would assume White is holding out hope of re-entering, but we are not holding our breath.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Mike White (forearm) is "fully healthy" and could start over Zach Wilson (knee) in Week 10.

Wilson is expected to practice this week but could still be a few days out from being fully recovered from his PCL sprain. White suffered a forearm injury last week but Jets coach Robert Saleh expects him to practice leading into Week 10. Rapoport also described the injury as "minor." White being announced the starter would be a net positive for the New York offense as both he and Josh Johnson have outplayed Wilson in their limited opportunities. White would be a low-end QB2 if he draw the start versus Buffalo this week.

Jets will start QB Mike White in Week 10 against the Bills.

Joe Flacco will back up White. Zach Wilson is still recovering from his PCL injury, although it seems like the Jets would like Wilson to take all the time he needs, while they take a longer look at White. Wilson has been the least accurate and least efficient quarterback in the league this season, while White has shown a knack for consistently moving the offense. The Jets' enthusiasm for White could evaporate after he faces the Bills' top-ranked defense, however. Still, White represents an upgrade for the Jets' skill players in a difficult matchup.

Here for the Mike White Bandwagon. I hope this kid all the success and I hope he wasn't a 1.25 week wonder.

Still intrigued by White - and this will be a great test going up against Bills D. I want to see what he can do when they take short game away - it looks like he was going to answer those questions in a big way v. Colts before arm injury.

I have absolutely 0 faith in him being The Guy, but I'm rooting for him.  Gotta love a nobody from nowhere taking a dead team and injecting some life into it.

Mike White completed 24-of-44 passes for 251 yards, zero touchdowns and four interceptions in the Jets' 45-17, Week 10 loss to the Bills.

And just like that, we will assume Zach Wilson's knee will be good to go for Week 11 vs. the Dolphins. Two weeks after carving up the Bengals and one week after flashing in limited action against the Colts, White got fully exposed by one of the best defenses in the league, with four interceptions arguably being a good outcome. White probably could have had five or six. For the picks, White had a flutterer following a hit, a nowheresville deep ball into double coverage, an easy route jumping, and an even easier route jumping. White was simply asked to do much as he tried to trade blows with the Bills' elite offense. White has put some good plays on film for future backup purposes, but that is what he remains: A future backup.

Benched for Flacco

Maybe the Cowboys made the right move after all
I don't get it AT ALL.

Mike White has flashed. He's a young QB who played amazing, then very good in limited action, then bad. That's better than Wilson has shown!

And then you bench him for a veteran QB who hasn't been good since his Super Bowl run? I don't get it at all.

Jets moved Mike White to QB2 on the team's depth chart.

White had been the team's No. 3 quarterback since Zach Wilson's Week 4 return from his preseason knee injury. White's promotion means a demotion for Joe Flacco, who started the first three games of the season. “Mike White is one of our young guys on this football team,” Jets head coach Saleh said Monday, adding that it would be valuable for White to get second-team reps in practice. “We’ve seen Joe. We know Joe. We love Joe. Hopefully, Zach does not get hurt. But, in the event he does get hurt, Mike White is going to get the opportunity because we need to know what we have in Mike.” Saleh said Monday that at no point has he considered benching Zach Wilson despite his nonstop struggles with accuracy and awareness. Wilson over the past two weeks has the NFL's lowest completion rate over expected while throwing two touchdowns and three picks. White would likely be a boon for New York pass catchers if Wilson misses time in the final nine weeks of the regular season.

Jets QB Mike White will start in Week 12 against the Bears.

Joe Flacco will serve as White's backup. Zach Wilson was officially benched after his atrocious Week 11 showing against the Patriots in a 10-3 loss. Head coach Robert Saleh conceded there "might" be some "irritation" over Wilson's refusal to take responsibility for the loss. In steps White, who in 2021 completed 66.7 percent of his passes for five touchdowns and eight interceptions. His 2021 campaign included a 405-yard, three-touchdown, two-interception performance against the Bengals in Week 8. White showed a penchant for checking down to running backs and tight ends -- a potential boon for Tyler Conklin and Michael Carter in Week 12.

i don’t think mike white is the long term answer for the jets, but if he can complete a pass or 2, it’s makes the jets a whole different team. one that can gain a yard. but, he isn’t mobile and will put the ball the ball on the ground. but, after last week, you couldn’t realistically give wilson another game.

I like this move. Zack Morris-Wilson is a ****ing bum and Broseph Flacco is a has-been at this point. White Mike showed enough flashes last year to warrant seeing what he has to offer for this now fairly talented and very QB-needy team, in advance of next year's draft full of QB talents.

Mike White is the 5th QB in NFL history to record multiple games with 300 Pass yds and 3 Pass TD within his first 4 career starts. White joins Kurt Warner (3), Patrick Mahomes (2), Mark Rypien (2) and Austin Davis (2). #Jets
