QB Patrick Mahomes II, KC (1 Viewer)

Kelce got nicked today. Let's hope he is okay. It got me thinking about Mahomes. Look around at what the other QBs have as weapons. Mahomes, outside of Kelce, really has limited options. Is he just one the few QBs on the planet that can be elite throwing to posters on this board?

That is how I see it.
 
He had a great season last year after losing Tyreek Hill. Mahomes will always put up stats with whoever lines up. Yes, Richie James/Rice/Toney/Moore/MVS/Ross will do!
 
So easy to root for him. He is dominating with bunch of practice quad offensive skill players around him. I shall miss him dearly on my fantasy roster this year.
 
Re-works contract to get 210.6 million guaranteed from 2023-2026, the most of any quarterback per USA Today.

Guess the whole "Mahomes takes less money" thing was all for show. When the deals starting going down, he helped himself.
 
Depending on how they structured it, they may have easily brought his cap numbers down for the next few years. His cap numbers were set to balloon sizably in 2024 to 2026 to the $60MM range.
 
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports a source close to the Chiefs confirmed Patrick Mahomes’ ankle is “all good” after suffering an injury in Week 3 against the Bears.

Mahomes’ ankled was rolled up on by a defender late in the second quarter of the Chiefs’ win over the Bears, but he returned to play a few more downs before Andy Reid called off the wolves in the third quarter. The injury didn’t look good on video, but Mahomes isn’t one to take plays off if he thinks he can. We’ll see if he pops up on Wednesday’s injury report, but it sounds like he’ll be fine for Week 4 against the Jets.

My team is 0-3. I'm on the fence if I should stay the course, wait for a couple guys to get back (Taylor mainly) and see how my squad does vs. pulling a huge trade. Would you trade off Mahomes and package him with a McLaurin/Taylor/Robinson/etc to upgrade elsewhere?

Im about to do that in my league if I lose (about to be 1-3).

I traded for Mahomes this week. Other owner also had Tua and was 1-3. Wanted to pounce when Mahomes had an iffy game as he did vs the Jets. Chiefs schedule the next 2 months is ridiculous. All green vs the pass against sieve defenses. Traded Ekeler and Dak for Mahomes and Pacheco. 6 point TD league.
 
I don't know why people are laughing at my post. He's obviously still the best QB in football but he's no longer a fantasy stud. 1st qb taken in 2nd round and he's 8th qb is not good.

Two weeks ago people were cutting Justin Fields from rosters. Today he is the #3 fantasy QB (in 4pt pass TD leagues). Things change fast.

And while Mahomes is QB6 overall, he is just 2 pts *total* away from Fields at QB3. And 2 PPG away fro QB2 and 4 PPG away from QB1.

All this with a gimpy Kelce and absolute schwag at WR, except for a still green Richie Rice.

Yeah his schedule is an absolute joke but whose to say they won't game manage to easy wins. Yesterday was an easy matchup too and while he didn't have a bad game by any means 250 and 2 tds isn't exactly week winning

From a FF perspective, the Chiefs defense being so good now doesn't help Mahomes' cause. They don't have to win games 34-31 on a regular basis anymore, and Mahomes is rarely playing major catchup these days. Having him used to be awesome when the Chiefs would fall behind 21-7 because you knew he'd bring them back and throw for 350 and 3-4 scores total in doing so.
 
Well they aren’t firing on all cylinders. No doubt. I’ll give you that. They need to tighten a lot up. Get rid of the trick plays with Toney. Run more
pick plays to get these receivers open. Is Scantling completely washed? He’s invisible. Not even stretching the field for others. Rice has juice. They need to figure out how to use them. But I wouldn’t gloat yet. Cream usually rises even after slow starts.
 
My favorite non-Giant of all-time. He will win his 3rd ring and I’ll be rooting for him. However, I agree that Chiefs D being strong will impact his stats. At the end of the day that’s what we fantasy footballers care for.
 
Not gonna be an elite ff option this year. Over drafted for sure. Just doesn’t have the weapons and D is too good, so chiefs will “manage” their way to wins.

No deep threats at all.
 
My gut said his statistical advantage wasn't gonna happen this year. Better defense. More running the football. It just feels like game script won't be in his advantage to accumulate stats. I moved him for ceedee lamb. Feels dirty.
 
He has a bottom 3 WR group to work with. Several times this year I've seen him with loads of time but none of these JAGs can get open aside from his TE. He's the best QB in the business by far, but severely hampered for fantasy purposes due to support lacking around him.
