Too many replies to my question(s) to include all of your quotes (thanks for the responses!)
I think the Garmin 305 is a little out of my price range at the moment. The 405 that was linked in here for $170 looks like something I can manage. I don't think I'll have it in time for my 5k coming up next week though. :(
I do plan on having my ipod with me on race day. I won't have to worry about automobile traffice that day, and I like beer's method of turning on the music only when I need that extra motivation or get bored.
I hit 1.5 miles outside this morning (uneven path)... after a full hour of hitting the weights (today was also leg day)... came in at 12:40 which I'm happy with, but I'm not sure I could do another 1.6 at that pace.
Has anyone ever dealt with an ear ache when running out in the cold? I don't always get this, but it happens often enough (and not just from running, but even when I play other sports out in the cold)... weird.
11 days away from the race!

... but do many of you guys listen to music while you run?
this evening.
You guys consistently (and vastly) overestimate my abilities. I have a sprint tri on Saturday and a du on Sunday. Gonna be an epic weekend.
I could see some sort of mix where you worked in the core CDs on recovery (run) days - Chest/Back, Shoulders/Arms, etc. I've toyed with this idea and every time it scared the crap outta me.
Thinking about 50 mile weeks plus P90x just sounds insane. The other thought was to use the Core Synergistics CD on recovery days. That's an easier workout, but would still be a good cross training opportunity.
