I got absolutely punked by a group of geese with babies a few years back.   I’m actually sitting in a dark corner of my bedroom typing this, experiencing sweat-inducing traumatic flashbacks.  I hope that you’re ok.

Yeah, the problem with fighting them off is you have no idea how many rounds they are willing to go.

 
So excited for tomorrow. Hoping Mrs. Gianmarco has a wonderful experience out there and can finish in good shape. Hoping the same for @gruecdand @SteelCurtain. 

This will be the most difficult spectating job, by far. Wish me luck as I might have it harder than anyone.

Some day, one of you will have to explain to me how you can successfully take a 30-mile, early morning ride on a crowded, bouncy school bus with no toilet while dealing with pre-race jitters.  #unpossible

 
Off to the buses momentarily. Not taking my phone because I don’t want to carry it the whole time, and there’s no way to check it from the start to the finish like back in the good ol’ days (dumb). Bib #5441. Wish me luck!

I got on a VIP coach bus that is smooth and has a toilet on it.  I can stay on the bus for as long as i want and I can check a bag from the start that goes back to the finish.

Being on a bus saved me during the monsoon of 2018.  I spent very little time outside in the elements before that race.

My plan today is to go out around 8:45-9 min pace and see how it feels.   The test will be mile 16 when the uphills go and I’ll see how the body is responding to the extra effort. Bib #9800

Also, thoughts and prayers to @gianmarco,  standing while drinking a coffee is hard work.

Lol...wtf.

So they just stopped, made everyone get off, and there's no train running and further west. Now I'm at mile 22 instead of 17. Doubt I can wait for her to pass and make it back to finish in time :(
