RB Ashton Jeanty, LV (1 Viewer)

Field Yates
April is a long ways away, but it wouldn’t stun me if we’re talking about Jeanty as close to the same range as where Bijan Robinson went just two years ago.

We can debate the merits of taking a running back that early in the draft, but Jeanty is stating case to be a top 15 pick.

I really don't have a concrete opinion this early in the process, but "best since Barry Sanders" is certainly a take. Let's remember that Tomlinson, Bush, Peterson, and Barkley exist. 3 of 5 Boise games so far have been against absolute doormats. Jeanty's YPC is going to come down.

The list of college backs with 2,000+ rushing yards in a season includes Ray Rice, Ricky Williams, LaDainian Tomlinson and...Donnell Pumphrey, Bryce Love, and Tevin Coleman. The stats are very relevant, but so are the tape and the pre-draft workouts. It's about looking at all the variables to build the overall story, not just how many yards he got against Portland State and Georgia Southern.

Who gets your Heisman vote right now?

• Travis Hunter
• Ashton Jeanty
• Cam Ward

Those are the three strongest candidates as of today.

Ashton Jeanty. Most dominant player in college football right now.

Jordan Reid
DeAngelo Williams coming out of Memphis. Physical, compact runner that’s nearly impossible to tackle. Williams was drafted 27th overall.

Jeanty could be picked even higher.

At what point do I cash out my +3300 Heisman bet? Can take +807 right now
Idk that he wins it. Imo a guy that plays D and O very well is better or more useful. If it were me I would cash out early but I'd wait as long as I could.
Good luck

For those still skeptical about Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty, here's the best way we can sum it up: @AshtonJeanty2 is better at his position than any other player is at their respective position in CFB.

Looks like Ken Walker out there. Same build

Also looks like he's operating a second faster than everyone on the field. Could be college but he's making decision and cuts like it's a video game- no hesitation. Crazy smooth.

I’m watching these 2 OSU RBs against and seeing they are supposed to be great NFL prospects. It makes what Jeanty did even more impressive. He’s what people said Bijan was.

I don't follow college, but I've seen a few articles about how he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. How's he compare fantasy wise against other top prospects?

Seems to have gained some level of consensus for superflex 1.1. I can name one devy analyst that was on McMillan for that spot coming in and has been won over.

I'm also monitoring this closely to see if I should be aggressively going after the 1.1 for my 1-4 team that's in desperate need of a stud RB1. At this point, I'm a little skeptical of the "greatest ever" conversation, I don't think that he's going to be a standard deviation better than the other top WRs and RBs that it's worth the embarrassment of fielding a lineup of hot garbage in week 6, but maybe he will ultimately prove worthy.

Nick Saban breaks down Ashton Jeanty's game ✍️

"This guy is a complete player. ... This guy to me could be the first guy picked in the draft at his position because he's a complete player."

Ashton Jeanty season-low 128 yards on 33 carries, 1 TD vs. UNLV

Barry Sanders’ “worst” game in his Heisman season: 154 yards on 25 carries, 2 TDs vs. Missouri

Yeah, he’s no Barry for sure. That ain’t happening in our lifetime. Sometime we need understand that 1 of 1 is just that.
He’s a great player. Having one disappointing game where he had to grind out yards doesn’t change that. Nobody will ever be Barry but don’t be surprised if next week Jeanty has 250/4 and is back on track to threaten the record books.

He deserves the Heisman Trophy.

Love this kid, BUT the King played in the SEC. I know it’s not a comparison, but hate the name even being mentioned.

Jeanty is great, but no one in the modern era has done what Travis Hunter is doing. It's criminal if he isn't given the Heisman at this point.

Love the kid, but he’ll never beat the politics to win the Heisman at BSU. He’s going to have to be content with the national championship.

Travis Hunter > Everyone as a college football player. This is one of one type stuff. Stuff we haven’t see in the modern era, akin to Ohtani in MLB. If Hunter doesn’t win even as a non-QB I’ll lose my mind.

Just watched his highlights for the year. His leap over the defender against Washington State was impressive. He’s impressive. I haven’t seen all the RBs yet, but he’s pretty good so far. I can see him testing well. One thing he doesn’t seem to have in droves is bend and what Waldman calls curvilinear movement. He looks just a touch stiff.

But very good.

I think that's fair. Be a bigger issue if he was taller.

Ashton Jeanty has some of the best contact balance I’ve ever scouted, and he’s 5’9” and 215 pounds

Not small for a RB, but there are bigger backs who don’t have half the balance that he does. Unreal

20 for 69 with a TD. No receptions today. Entire 4th quarter to play in a 21-21 game.

Looks very ordinary today.
111 yards and 2 TDs.

What a putz.
I like him and root for him each week. I was trying to get him going. I’m sure he read my post, and said “I’ll show that Seinfeld character just how ordinary I am”
I don’t care for your demeanor.
Just keep my eyebrows out of it and we can still say hello to each other.

Woah! No need to get angry. Calm down.

Jeanty gets tackled low way more than I'd like to see, especially for a short RB. He's also going to come out of college with what looks to be around 800 touches.

It's going to be interesting to see how high Jeanty goes.
