Apparently he's vaccinated, but he must be showing symptoms.
Chances he clears?
What a nightmare.
He has a lot of time to clear. I think he'll play.

OBJ seems to have cleared pretty quickly. I guess it's a matter of whether he's sick or not? Definitely not an ideal way to start the week regardless.kyoun1e said:Don't think there are many examples of players clearing so quickly.
New rules kick in this week. If he's vaccinated and tests negative once, he should be good to go, right?
Didn't they just implement the new testing regimen today? Only test vaccinated players if they are symptomatic.A lot of assumptions being made here. Do we know he's vaccinated? Is he sick?
What if he isn't vaccinated? Or he is sick regardless.Didn't they just implement the new testing regimen today? Only test vaccinated players if they are symptomatic.
El oh elI mean...this is absurd. If he now goes on after reading this I'm going to crush a bottle of tequila.

The #Chargers officially placed Joey Bosa, Corey Linsley, Andre Roberts, Tevaughn Campbell, Trey Marshall, Chris Rumph, and Kemon Hall on the COVID-19 reserve list. As of now, Austin Ekeler has not been placed on the list.
ESPN has O as well.CBS has an IR by his name.
Now he’s been addedESPN has O as well.
Info flowing too fast for platforms to keep up.
Unless something changed. Again.
Chances of him getting cleared and playing Sunday? Now he’s been added
He needs 2 negative tests and be asymptomatic. Possible.Chances of him getting cleared and playing Sunday?
Only like 30% are clearing in time per Dr. Chao. Also my best team has Kelce and Ekeler so really hoping for their negative tests before Sunday
condolences...that sucks...you had a heck of a team.Only like 30% are clearing in time per Dr. Chao.
i lost Ekeler, Hill, Kelce and Lamar injury.

Was that with the new protocol or the old one?Only like 30% are clearing in time per Dr. Chao.
Dr. Chao said it was the new one. Limited short time span of data. He mentioned it on his halftime report yesterday. Was that with the new protocol or the old one?
But even if you have no symptoms they are still testing positive for 7-9 days it seems. There are a lot of unknowns, so anything we discuss is only speculation. We should all remember that symptoms even among the vaccinated span a wide range, and we have no insight into what Ekeler is experiencing. My wife (34), for example, only lost her taste and smell but had no other symptoms and felt fine. I (40) was sick with light flu for 2-3 days, but my energy was wiped for a week after. Some folks have worse symptoms but vaccination tends to lead to much better health outcomes, and those who are younger tend to experience fewer symptoms than those who are older.
Thanks man, yeah it stinks. Everything breaking my opponents way. Nobody on covid list. Has James Robinson going against the Jets who put 15 on Covid today. Has Jags D too.condolences...that sucks...you had a heck of a team.
ya, and he sounds really stuffy on the video. sucks for Eckler owners.
Huh. Can't find the video link. If you have please post.ya, and he sounds really stuffy on the video. sucks for Eckler owners.
Confused about something: When Ekeler says, "I had to get tested every day and have two negative tests and no symptoms," is he talking about the protocol for after he tested positive?
yes, I believe that once you've tested positive that's the protocol to be able to play.Confused about something: When Ekeler says, "I had to get tested every day and have two negative tests and no symptoms," is he talking about the protocol for after he tested positive?
Oh yikesApparently the Texans have 21 players on the Covid list.
Praying this game is moved to give Ekeler another day or two.
Chargers activated Austin Ekeler from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Ekeler missed Week 16 while on the COVID list. In his absence, Justin Jackson turned 19 touches into 162 yards. It's possible that Ekeler returns to a slightly limited role. Other players coming back from COVID have seen their snaps scaled back for a week or two. However, fantasy managers can't afford to have Ekeler on the bench for the championship week of most leagues. He'll be a slightly more risky RB1 play than usual this week.

Unless you were expecting him to tackle Rex Burkhead, not sure how that is relevant to whether Jackson earned any additional playing time. What did the Chargers win by last week with Justin Jackson wrecking havoc on the Houston Defense?
That would be a solid reason for Jackson getting more than just a little breather action, what was the score last week?
Good choice of words, let me explain...Unless you were expecting him to tackle Rex Burkhead, not sure how that is relevant to whether Jackson earned any additional playing time.
Any word on Ekeler's practices?

1. The Chargers are in must-win mode in this game. They must maximize snaps for their best players. Ekeler >> JacksonWell exactly my thought too. Do they limit him after coming back from COVID?
And did Jackson do too good of a job in filling in and they give him more time as well.
Oh yeah? Cause the smart handcuff before the season was Roundtree, considering Jackson and Kelly had chances before and did nothing. So how's that working out? This is why you handcuff your studs
