I don't see Hall losing the starting RB job unless weeks like this start to pile up, but as mentioned I could definitely see Allen making this more of a committee as the year goes on and getting the GL work. Breece is too good of a receiver to just fade away and he will have better days running the ball, but he hasn't lived up to expectations so far this year. I thought he looked pedestrian against the 49ers on that opening Monday as well and even when he's played well Allen has looked like the better runner and left you wanting to see more of him.

That's the risk for the RB landscape in today's NFL. Even if a RB is a bell cow right now, it might be not for long. I expect a lot of RBs to cap the main RB's upside throughout the league. It's something we as fantasy players have to adjust to, or at least accept it.

All 10 of his carries from yesterday. My takeaway watching them for the second time is the same. The blocking was non existent, but he also went down way too easily on a lot of those.

The eyes don't lie. Allen pops off the screen when he runs. He runs with power and vision and has the speed to get around the edge. Breece gets the ball and he's like a wet noodle thrown against a wall. No vision. No pop. He looks like the kind of running back who can only get what the O-line gives him.

Which really means he sucks, basically. And I don't get it. The dude looked special his rookie year before the injury. Then got back into his groove last year and looked like the prince that was promised except for the bad O-line and stacked boxes.

But now he looks like a one hit wonder or something.

I don't know what I'm trying to say here. I own him in nearly every league, even dynasty. And I think, if you're not panicking, you're probably ignoring the situation or something.

There's really no excuse whatsoever for this coaching staff to not go full-blown RBBC to the point where I could easily see a situation where Allen is the guy on first and second downs and Breece becoming a passing down specialist. And I'm not exaggerating. That's what the eye test tells me. These coaches are fighting for their jobs this year. They're not going to look at Breece and shrug their shoulders and just go down with the ship.

They will make changes if they are not winning... and they're not winning.

Don't own Breece this year and this was just a down game. He'll continue to perform but Allen isn't going away. A big part of Breece's appeal was that he was going to be a target magnet but now with Allen that likely won't be the case. Even if he gives us 40% of the touches he should still be a top back given the RB landscape.

Just watched these. On some of them, he was seeing 8 (and sometimes 9) in the box or on their own GL, so I understand those. But his lack of vision on several of the others was pretty bad. He had really open cutback lanes and missed them. On the goal line carries, he walks in if he takes one sidestep to the right. Second carry, he easily could have bounced to the outside to walk in. His lineman/TE had the edge sealed. Overall, vision looked bad. Reminded me of watching Christine Michael play. Head and body weight leaning so far forward that he trips easily.

Big thought in my head was I did a big FFPC Main Event draft on the Saturday before the opener. I did 6 such leagues and did want to be overly heavy on any first round players. This was my last of those 6 drafts and I picked 1.1.

I had been uneasy about CMC and that morning just made the decision I was not going to pick him.

I had already chosen Lamb on two team in that contest and did not want to be overly heavy on any first round pick. were I'd just be to down if something went awry with them. I already had Barkley on a team, got him in round 2 so just did not want to spend 1.1 on him.

So I boiled it down to Tyreek, Bijan or Breece.

I went Bijan and still would relative to those options but that's what you call between a rock and a hard place and gets to my bigger point that in the leagues I play the consensus top 5 were CMC, Tyreek, Bijan, Breece and Lamb and really none of them have been close to worth it.

Jefferson, Chase and ASRB usually went next none of them have been bad, strong confidence in all of them for ROS, but so far JJ is only one who has performed like what you expect from a first round pick.

Then AJB usually went next followed by Wilson.

So really my big big point here is all I'm seeing in all these threads today is so much bellyaching and anger. Almost everyone is dealing with it with their first round picks this year. They've long said leagues are not won in round one. That's the case this year more then ever and personally I love it. This is not directed at you in the least but all the anger and overreaction I'm seeing today is annoying to me. Buck up folks. If you don't like your first round pick don't beat yourself up over it, you probably would have not liked your alternative options you thought of drafting in round one either. Find solutions to the challenge, dealing with it and trying to work out the adversity is one of the many things I enjoy about this hobby.

We are treating Breece like he’s Rachaad White. This is not White/Irving thing. Breece is an excellent runner and a receiver. Allen is a rookie that will get his opportunities, but he’s not replacing Breece.

I just saw it briefly but it's just my opinion of course. It's probably nothing but when I first saw it I thought the body language was poor. They did just lose however.
