RB Chris Carson, SEA - 10.7.21 - Neck Issue (1 Viewer)

Carson back in for the second half. Beginning to think he has Wolverine healing powers. Maybe Superman-like indestructability.

Had him last year and fell in love with the guy. Don't have him this year but still love what he does.

ETA: Also playing against him today and he's starting to kill me. Still don't care, that's how fun he is to watch.

Carson got knocked silly, and still put up One Hundred Yards and 2 TDs,

The guy is a cyborg...
It would be an understatement to say that it has been quite the roller coaster since I traded for him last week.

Hurt knee, no problem, wait it’s a problem, no… No problem, wait, he’s out 1 to 2 weeks per ESPN, no, he’s starting, early touchdown… Crushing it… Oh no he’s concussed! wait, he’s back, and he got a cheapie one yard touchdown!

:pickle:

Chris Carson rushed 16 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks' Week 4 win over the Dolphins, adding three receptions for 20 additional yards.

Carson survived a late first half concussion evaluation to find the end zone for the first two times on the ground this year. His 80 yards rushing were a new season high, while he has caught at least three passes all four times out. It's good that Carson avoided the head injury, but the evaluation was a reminder of his rugged running style. He took a helmet-to-helmet shot from Elandon Roberts as he was getting dogpiled by a swarm of Dolphins. 16 games could be a lot to ask of a back who runs this violently. Carson will be a high-end RB2 for next Sunday night's date with the Vikings.

Chris Carson had eight carries for 52 yards and a touchdown and caught 6-of-7 targets for 27 yards in Seattle's Week 5 win over the Vikings.

Carson had just three carries at halftime. He fell victim to gameflow in the second half but managed to salvage his night on a 29-yard touchdown where he ran through the middle of the Vikings’ defense. Seattle's pass heavy offense has reduced Carson's workload this year, but it's allowed him to have more of a role out of the backfield, with his seven targets finishing behind only DK Metcalf. Carson will use Seattle's Week 6 bye to get fully over his sprained MCL.

Perception is amazing in FF. He's been top ten in my league for three years running and is regarded as a fringe RB2. Meanwhile guys like Mixon remain top ten fantasy assets and get every excuse and benefit of the doubt.

Carson is like an underground band with a passionate cult following. His owners LOVE him but he'll never get the proper respect outside of them.

Wait until Rashad Penny comes off IR. O/U will be 3 games until we see posts he's gonna take Carson's job.

Chris Carson left Week 7 against the Cardinals with a foot injury.

Carson was shown going to the locker room early in the first half. We didn't see the injury but the Seahawks are listing him as questionable to return. Carlos Hyde vultured a 24-yard touchdown with Carson sidelined.

Never saw a play where he got hurt. Never really heard an update. Saw him limp to the locker room and saw him on the sideline in the 2nd half with his helmet off. This guy plays through everything so to keep him out in a close game it must be something.

Have we heard anything?

I was thinking the same. He obviously  seems to get nicked up a bit, but also seems to play through the nicks. In a tight divisional game, there must be something here.

Seahawks RB Chris Carson has a mid-foot sprain and will have an MRI Monday.

The results of the MRI should tell the team how much time Carson will miss. Though he returned to the sideline Sunday night against Arizona after leaving the game in the first half, Carson did not reenter the game. Carlos Hyde took over for Carson, carrying the ball 15 times for 68 yards and a touchdown. Hyde, who should be rostered in all formats, would be an RB2 candidate next week against the 49ers based on volume alone.

I've had a midfoot sprain, he could be ready to play next week or out a few games. The fact he was chatting and walking on the sidelines makes me think he avoided a Lisfranc.

I too have had a mid foot sprain and it literally felt like my foot was bending in the middle....no bueno.  I was out from football for 3 weeks if I remember right.  It wasn't as much pain as that weird feeling of instability.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Chris Carson (foot) is considered "week-to-week."

Carson is expected to miss "some time" with the 49ers, Bills, Rams and Cardinals on deck in Seattle's next four games. With Travis Homer (knee) also exiting early on Sunday night, Carlos Hyde unsurprisingly played 41-of-84 snaps, soaking up a team-high 18 backfield touches. Hyde is expected to stay the team's bell-cow over rookie DeeJay Dallas until Carson returns.

Coach Pete Carroll called RB Chris Carson (foot) a game-time decision ahead of Week 8's contest against the 49ers.

Just two days ago, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport termed Carson's injury "week-to-week," but Pete Carroll is among the most optimistic of head coaches when referencing injury timelines. Sunday's game against the 49ers is in the 4:00 window, so hopefully more clarity will arrive before lineups are settled in the first window. An educated guess would suggest Carson will sit for at least one week, leaving Carlos Hyde in line for 15 touches.

I looked around earlier and did't find anything. I'm trying to get Hyde, but I don't think he'll last til my waiver position.
I had pick 10 in waivers last night and got him I don’t think I would. Then I snagged deejay Dallas off the free agent list early this morning. Got lucky.
so there is hope...

Chris Carson (foot) remained "DNP" on Thursday.

As did Carlos Hyde (hamstring) and Travis Homer (knee). Coach Pete Carroll has already labeled Carson a game-time call while claiming Hyde's hamstring issue is "nothing major." Homer supposedly only has a bruise, but rookie DeeJay Dallas is the only Seahawks back practicing right now. It's a very difficult decision to get a read on, with Fridays statuses being critical ahead of what could be multiple game-time calls. For now, we would consider Carson on the wrong side of questionable.

Has a Lisfranc been officially ruled out?

DeeJay Dallas looking like a potentially juicy play.

And the team has been really mum on Penny's return but with all three of Carson, Hyde, and Homer ailing, he may be sneaky pickup to go and secure now for the stretch.

Unless they're hiding info, it doesn't sound like Penny is anywhere near a return. Could be wrong, but I'm thinking he doesn't return this year.

Argh just go ahead and rule him out already so I can stick him in the IR slot and pick up Dallas or Gio.  Is there any chance at all that Carson does play?  Can't feel comfortable starting him if he does suit up

Looks like the Hawks are brining back Alex Collins pending a COVID test/protocol... most likely for depth since three of their four RBs are banged up but doesn't make me feel great about Carson.

I am skeptical. He is a terrible pass blocker. He has allowed 3 pressures in 7 pass blocking snaps so far. I expect that will limit his snaps.

CHRIS CARSON RB, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said RBs Chris Carson (foot), Carlos Hyde (hamstring), and Travis Homer (knee) will be game-time decisions in Week 8.

It shapes up to be a headache for fantasy players. The Seahawks play at 4:15 p.m. eastern time, so fantasy managers should keep tabs on Seattle's inactives, which usually come out 90 minutes before kickoff. If Carson and Hyde are out, Homer and rookie DeeJay Dallas figure to split the backfield against the 49ers. Plugging an active Hyde into your lineup comes with its own risks of in-game aggravation of his hamstring injury. It might be best to avoid the Seattle backfield in seasonal leagues this week, if possible.

Chris Carson (foot) is questionable for Week 8 against the 49ers.

Odds are Travis Homer (knee, questionable), Carson, and rookie DeeJay Dallas are all available since both Homer and Carson were upgraded on the final injury report. Dallas would obviously become the workhorse if none, including Carlos Hyde (hamstring, doubtful), are active on Sunday. Carson as always would lead this backfield in touches if he's cleared.

So this week we’ve gone from Dallas would be the only Seattle RB healthy enough to play to Hyde will be the only RB that won’t play???

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Seahawks RB Chris Carson (foot) is "a true 50-50" to play in Week 8 against the 49ers.

Schefter added that Carson "is expected to test how he feels in pre-game warmups." He remains a game-time decision. Carlos Hyde (hamstring, doubtful) and Travis Homer (knee, questionable) are also considered game-time decisions. DeeJay Dallas is the only Seahawks back currently healthy. Dallas only has four carries and two catches on the year but Seattle did spend a fourth-round pick on him in the spring. He would take on a larger role if two or three of the backs ahead of him on the depth chart miss Week 8. Fantasy managers should have contingency plans in place if they plan on playing Carson.

(RotoWire) While Carson (foot) is a game-time decision for Sunday afternoon's game, the team does not expect him to be able to play, Fox's Jay Glazer reported on their morning pregame show.
