According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Peyton Hillis was "pretty sore" after a 29-touch effort in Week 4, prompting him to be limited in this week's practices due to a thigh injury.

Hillis was held out of Friday's practice altogether and is listed as questionable for Week 5. The Plain Dealer's Terry Pluto believes that the Browns need to work in Jerome Harrison more because Hillis "can't carry the running game alone." No player in football has more touches than Hillis over the past two weeks. We'll know his status for Sunday's game against Atlanta in less than two hours, but he is tentatively expected to start.

FOX Sports' John Czarnecki reports that Peyton Hillis (questionable, thigh) will start Sunday's game against the Falcons.

"The Czar" also reports that Seneca Wallace will start at quarterback, saying Jake Delhomme "is healthy enough to be the backup." Czarnecki isn't know for his accuracy on such matters, but all indications coming out of Cleveland are that Hillis will get the nod. Czarnecki calls his thigh injury only a "bruise," but does concede "a chance" that Jerome Harrison might play more.

On ESPN2's Fantasy Football Now Stephania Bell said Hillis' thigh tightened up during the week and it's possible it's a reoccurrence of an injury he had in college. It might be something that lingers.

Elaborating, Stephania Bell said the college injury was a thigh bruise that led to extra calcium formation, bone growth in the muscle, and it took months for Hillis to fully recover.

(RotoWire) Hillis (thigh) is active for Sunday's game against the Falcons, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Analysis: The Browns did not announce a lineup change at running back Sunday, which means that Hillis is in line to get the start

FF Now is blowing this thigh injury up, not sure what to do with this guy at this point.
Could you expand on this for me? I am not following you.
Stephania Bell has a source that tells her this injury is a flare up from a hit Hillis took in college. She went on to say that if Hillis takes repeated hits on his thigh there is a good chance he will not finish the game. Kuselias and Berry recommend dropping Hillis down 10 spots and to stay away if you have better options. Sounds like chicken little to me but still something to think about.

Here's the whole quote from Bell. Doesn't sound bad enough to pull him from your lineup.

Peyton Hillis, (Q) and Jerome Harrison, (P), Cleveland Browns: Now that Hillis has been discovered by fantasy owners, everyone is panicking about his status for Sunday. Hillis and coach Eric Mangini have implied that panic is not necessary, as both have indicated that Hillis is expected to play. Yet he's listed as questionable. Cause for concern? Perhaps. Hillis strained his thigh during Thursday practice and was held out on Friday. Mangini suggested it was a precautionary move, telling NFL.com "I decided to pull him and rest him" when Hillis developed "tightness" in his thigh. While there is no reason to doubt his explanation, it is worth noting that Hillis has endured some pretty tough "thigh" injuries in the past. In college he took a hit to the thigh that led to bone growth within the muscle (a condition called myositis ossificans), and in 2008 he landed on injured reserve after tearing a hamstring and undergoing surgery. Translation: Any thigh issue with Hillis is going to warrant a little extra concern. Fantasy owners will want to check game-day inactives to verify Hillis' status.Teammate Jerome Harrison, listed as probable coming off his own thigh injury, is expected to be available for Sunday.

The above seems to come from Stephania Bell's blog, dated yesterday at 1:50 PM.I believe the Bell comments discussed in this thread were made on television this morning. There's a brief breakdown here (subscriber content).

Though it doesn't seem any new information has been provided, the spin and tone seem slightly different today.
