#50 in receiving last year, not in top 50 in 2021, #31 in 2020
#21 in rushing last year, not in top 50 in 2021, not in top 50 in 2020.
Not only is he injury prone, he is not very good.I think the internet overrates him because of his name. He sounds like he should be good.
I find it comical that PFF feels qualified to assign grades to the best football players in the world when they are one of the worst sports “analytics” organizations in existence. They position their numbers like hard stats when they are rife with subjectivity, unqualified people creating them etc. and they just aren’t high quality enough or predictive enough to introduce into a serious football conversation.
According to posters on this very messageboard last offseason Josh Jacobs sucks because PFF says so. I rarely post here anymore and when I do usually it’s trying to help people plug this kind of leak in their thinking.
The injury concerns with Swift are very real and beyond that clearly he has engaged in off field behaviors that alienated his coaching staff and front office, which I suspect are being a diva and not playing through nicks and smaller injuries. So I make no argument that Swift is a highly valuable fantasy asset at this stage. But the idea that he isn’t good at football is ridiculous. When on the field and healthy (seemingly almost never) he is absolutely dripping with talent and explosiveness and if you can’t see that drop everything and grind tape until you are able to recognize the obvious
