Atlanta RB situation is valuable. Anyone who doesn't know that doesn't know Shanahan. Talent level is irrelevant. Rueben Droughns succeeded in this offense, as did Mike Anderson. I understand why people want to know who the guy will be but your best case is to just hold on to the top two, keep an eye on the 3rd guy and hold on to your butts.

Coleman has no power. He goes down on 1st contact. He needs those gaping holes to succeed. Freeman doesn't.17 of Colemans 27 runs vs OSU were for 1 yard or less in his big game vs them. That doesn't work in the NFL.

Activated him last week when I lost Murray.

Freeman is the top RB right now in that league now. Dan Quinn has made a big change in attitude in that team but this kid looks as good as I thought last year.

Coleman will get carries, but it's Freeman's backfield going forward. I don't know how ATL could justify it any other way. Freeman has been incredible.

No reason why Freeman can't get 15-18 carries and 4-5 receptions even with Coleman in the mix.

That's all you really need to know about Smith's talent. I generally trust the judgement of 32 NFL GMs. If he was 1/10th as good as his stat line, he would be on a roster.

I do think people are reaching when they say Freeman has a stranglehold on this job now. Coleman will get carries when he's back. I bet somewhere close to 50-50 or 40-60.

I'm curious where he'll end up being used. Freeman's a better pass protector and receiver, I think they'll mix Coleman in for 10-12 snaps running to limit Freeman's touches.

Jake Matthews was like the worst rated Left Tackle last season by PFF, this year he's one of the highest graded. The guards, Levitre & Chester have brought in great veteran leadership and are great in the zone blocking scheme. Person has been an upgrade at Center. Schraeder at Right Tackle might be the weak link (he has graded positively on PFF though) but the Falcons also have Jake Long to replace him if he gets healthy.

Yes they probably would. But in Non PPR, if you don't have a top say 6 WR, you can still have a WR1 that you would trade for the #1 overall RB. It's not unrealistic to see Freeman end around RB10 (a big slip from where he is now), which is pretty fair non ppr value for almost any WR outside of the top 3 ish.

If John Fox was the HC, you can take it to the bank that he would screw #### up by platooning the guy, not ever series but every other play. The guy is too stupid to stay with something that works. I think this coaching staff is smart enough to leave what works alone until it doesn't work. Sure Coleman will get in there but right now as long as Freeman produces in the run and pass game, I can't see these guys changing it.
