RB Ezekiel Elliott, LAC (2 Viewers)

Kid is a stud. He is the number one back in standard now. For all the people giving all the credit to the o-line...he is leading the league in yards after contact. Once the cowboys start utilizing him in the redzone more his TDs will increase.

Biggest Rookie RB splash since Edge? That was last century. Bigtime stuff on display here. He might even eclipse the amazing run Edge had, and I owned Edge and am ready to admit it even though I hate the cowboys! LOL

Adrian Peterson in 2007 has almost the same amount of FF points (through 10 NFL games and 1 bye each) in my standard league.

Zeke 2016 = 185.50    198-1005-9     18-250-1

ADP 2007 - 184.10      169-1081-8      15-220-1

I play ppr exclusively, but that's still pretty good company.

After his first 9 games played in 2007, Peterson only played 5 more (missed 2 games), ran for a paltry 260 yards, had 4 catches and scored 4 times.

Barring injury, Elliot should absolutely destroy those numbers. He is on pace for the greatest season by a rookie RB and a top-5 all-time season for a RB of any tenure.

Yeah, ADP did get hurt and ruined a bunch of potential championship seasons.

Like mine. :ptts:

Here is how Elliott stacks up against some of the other great rookie RB seasons. I used the Top 15 rookie seasons based on 0 PPR scoring. I also included Marcus Allen, who played in a strike shortened 9 game season as a rookie.

Oh quit it, you know what I am talking about! Silly man.
When there is a moment of consistency where he doesn't do it, I'll be worried. OSU deserved their loss against Michigan St. last year because they didn't feed Zeke. All that being said, Dallas should reel in Zeke if they clinch home field at some point. Morris is capable of making the offense be competent at that point.

Short memory. This was a fair trade after W1 when Zeke disappointed with 20 carries for 51 yards in first game. Langford outperformed him, and Crab was doing well (as he did all season).
No...  no one in my league moves Zeke for that.

Profootballtalk believes the NFL could take Ezekiel Elliott's St. Patrick's Day parade video into account as it mulls whether to punish him for his alleged domestic violence incidents.
Elliott was caught on video exposing a woman's breast. The incident, while boorish and misogynistic, seems unlikely to have any real effect on the league's never-ending investigation. Elliott has insisted he's innocent in the domestic violence case, while law enforcement declined to press charges.

Jerry Jones suggested he is disappointed by Ezekiel Elliott's behavior this offseason.
Elliott was caught on video exposing a woman's breast at a St. Patrick's Day parade. "There is not much that I want to say other than that was unfortunate and not good," Jones said. "I'm aware of the incident and I'm aware of the criticism." Still under investigation by the NFL because of domestic violence allegations last July, the video was not a good look for Elliott, but it is unlikely to affect his case. Elliott was never charged with a crime.

Ezekiel Elliott said he wants to be a "more dominant second-level runner" as a sophomore.
"I think there were a couple times last year where I could've been (better) on certain runs when I got to the second level," Elliott said. "So just kind of focused on finishing my runs and making guys miss at the second level." Elliott easily led the league with 14 runs of at least 20 yards -- LeSean McCoy was second with 11 -- and tied for second with three 40-plus yard scampers. Three of his long runs finished in the end zone. If he thinks he can improve on those numbers, the rest of the league is in trouble.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the NFL is still reviewing assault allegations against Ezekiel Elliott.
Elliott was accused by then-girlfriend Tiffany Thompson of assault last July. The incident was investigated by the Columbus (OH) city prosecutor, but no charges were filed. It is unclear why the NFL's investigation has taken so long to complete. While the lingering investigation is troublesome, it still seems unlikely Elliott faces a suspension.
