RB Gore Upgraded, Now Probable

Sports Network - [Full Article]

49ers starting RB Frank Gore was upgraded to probable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs with a rib injury. LINK

Everything I've heard out here is that he's been taking the normal reps in practice and is expected to start and play.

Between sore ribs, Robinson taking over the short yardage work, Hicks return, and likely playing catch-up on the road vs KC, he COULD likely will be limited. Just making people aware of the circumstances, and sending out a heads-up. Another words proceed with caution, that's all.

Good Luck

...so are you really, ahhh, "endorsing" a potential M ROBINSON "sleeper" scenario developing here this week?

I still dont see where your getting this from. He's been named the starter, cleared to play, and was upgraded. Yes he may lose Goal Line carries, but I dont see how Hicks is going to steal carries from him. Nother thing is why are the nessecarily(sp) going to be playing catchup. LJ hasnt looked himself and Huard is your average at best qb. I'll take my chances with Gore this week against most other options

RB Robinson Gets Goal-Line Work And Maybe More

Daniel Brown. Contra Costa Times - [Full Article]

RB Michael Robinson demonstrated his power last Sunday with two 1-yard touchdown runs against the Philadelphia Eagles. That performance, as well as Frank Gore's fumble problems, put Robinson in line for the goal-line carries this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. If Gore's health (bruised ribs) doesn't improve, Robinson could get even more action. Frank is currently listed as questionable on the injury report.
