Miami traded Feeney to Bears for a 6th, set to make $3.1M but Miami already paid him $2m sign bonus, maybe they saved $1M trading him plus the draft pick.
Miami had Cedric Wilson restructure his contract, the amount is unknown but some reports say the Phins save about $3M in cap space, not sure how that's possible but OK
-Spotrac has him making $4.5M this year, still a $7M dead cap hit, that didn't change but his salary for '23 did drop vs the cap

I'm hoping the Colts sign Kareem Hunt the second the ink is dry on the trade paperwork, but that's not based on factual, just my gut feeling.

Some will say Deon Jackson, some Zack Moss, some Evan Hull.
Personally I am backing Deon Jackson for PPR leagues as I think he is trusted as a receiver out of the backfield and I think he will get a good share of goal line opportunities due to his size.
I would put Evan Hull next as he was pretty versatile at Northwestern and he was brought in by the current regime.

I would think a RB would be included, otherwise one of Ahmed or Wilson are getting cut, as Miami won't carry 5 RBs, and Achane and Mostert are roster locks, though either could be involved in a potential trade.
As far as guys already on the Colts, probably Zack Moss, he was the clear #1 before he got hurt, and everyone else is more of a 3rd down RB. But the answer might just be nobody, at least among guys on the roster, but possibly in general. If Taylor gets dealt, its likely the Colts leading rusher is Anthony Richardson.

Based on last year and as the season went along, I got the feeling Moss was preferred when JT was out.
I think most teams could fit Taylor in, if they wanted to. I highly doubt anyone is going to give him a massive extension, and any other big contracts they have to give out (say to Burrow) they can push the cap hit out a few years. Herbert only counts $8.5mil this year and $19+mil next, for example.I'd be a little shocked as a lot of that money is going to go to extending Joe Burrow and probably Tee Higgins. Both of which are much bigger priorities than getting Taylor would be.

I think its less than 50-50 he actually gets dealt. He's playing week 1 regardless, so I still think its crazy he's falling out of top-25 picks in drafts. Dude has 0 leverage.
Agreed that playing for the Colts week 1 has always seemed like the most likely scenario, but this could play out any number of ways still. We can't even be certain he's healthy enough to play in week 1 (likely but not a lock), and this is a very unusual situation. Irsay, JT, and his agent are all atypical IMO.
A note on Jonathan Taylor: if the Colts do not remove him from the PUP list by 4 PM ET today, Taylor is out for the first 4 games of the season, even if traded after today.Indy has a deadline of today for a deal, but 4 PM is also of note for Taylor's early season status if he stays with the Colts.

Hull seems like a decent utility player, but I do not look at him and think dynasty RB1. I think it is more likely that if Taylor is dealt, the Colts' long-term answer at RB is not currently on their roster. If they proceed with the other backs currently on their roster, we would likely see some sort of an RBBC for 2023, with Anthony Richardson further draining the value from the RB position.

Moss is incredibly slow. 4.65 40 time if I remember my googling from a couple days ago. Deon Jackson just looked way more dynamic in his spelling of JT last season.

Moss is very similar to David Montgomery, his game isn't speed, its breaking tackles. He'll never look dynamic but he's reliable and keeps the chains moving. Jackson looked like a 3rd down RB to me, like a lesser version of Hines.

Look, I want him down here in Miami, but if I were the colts and not happy with the offer, I would put him on the PUP list, sign Hunt, and kick the can down the road a month where injuries and the like could occur. It would look crappy, but spite is best served cold.
