Im sure not everyone will agree, but In my opinion, the Colts handled this in the worst possible way from start to finish. Now they have a RB on PUP for 4 weeks who does not want to play for them. By the time he comes back they're 1-3 if they are fortunate, and he will sit back down whenever he gets a bruise on his calf. They get nothing for him aside from a huge distraction that now lingers into the season when they are trying to establish their new identity with their new 4th overall picked QB.

Brutal mismanagement in my opinion. Horrendous.

Right. And he hasnt practiced with the new QB in the new offense, so when he finally does come back its like entering a brand new offense on day one. Absolutely horrific. I would be livid if I were a Colts fan.

JT cannot sit out because then he cannot become a free agent down the road. So he gets a 4 game vacation to start the year.

I thought that wasn't possible. I thought once the decision was made he is locked on there for 4 weeks. Am I wrong about that?

They could have removed him at any point up until 4 today. Now that they didn't, he's locked on there for 4 weeks.

I would not touch him in redraft. Missed 4 games and probably wont play hurt all season. This is a lost season for JT unless he gets traded at some point, and based upon what just happened I don't think you can count on that.

Look, Irsay and the Colts are doing the right thing. JT is under contract and if chooses not to honor it, that's all on him. I'm sick and tired of players not honoring their contract. I don't care if he ever plays for Indy again, and if he doesn't and he is not traded, then his butt is sitting on his couch without a paycheck. Good riddance as far as I'm concerned.
