RB Kenyan Drake, Retired (2 Viewers)

Plucked him off waivers. Shouldn’t ever have to deal with the decision to put him in but would be nice to see his touches increase this week.

I mean the back half of 2017 did happen right?  Ugh..
I'm not sure anymore. Feels like ancient history. This now appears to be a reoccurring theme with MIA RBs. Next thing he gets deactivated and then traded to somebody like MIN?

I'm currently at the end of my Lamar Miller rope and thinking of offering to swap disappointments with the Drake Owner in our league... but I can't seem to muster a hint of optimism over either one at the moment.

One more start this week. If he does not take flight or show a pulse this week. That will be it until further notice. This is the type of game you would think he will be relied upon. But I thought that about last weeks game then the entire team #### the bed.

Let’s go Drake. More like.....let’s go Gase...freaking use one of your top weapons and stop leaving him in the holster.

I'm in a Dynasty Contract league and I just got him this morning for a 4th rounder. His owner wanted to clear contract space and I had plenty to spare. Steal. I'm not valuing him this year. I'm valuing him on Gore's retirement.

I'll buy him that low all day.

If they don't trust him now, they still won't if Gore quits. I just don't understand why they don't give him a full workload and f if he bombs, then go with Gore. He's just not getting that shot.

So glad I avoided Dolphins RBs this year.

Thats been a curse for me. I believe it was week 6 or 7, many moons ago when I insulted that old gypsy woman - she spit on the ground, muttered something under her breath & Ronnie Brown went from the #1 scorer to the IR while I was traveling in Germany.

My WCOFF team went from undefeated in my league, highest scoring to .500 that year. I never played in the WCOFF again (mostly because I couldn’t afford to)

not believing in gypsy curses, I then had the audacity to draft Arian Foster 2 years ago....who promptly retired after a few weeks in the season. I paid for my arrogance, and a steep price it was.

I’ve since tracked that old woman down and apologized profusely; but not knowing whether she in fact lifted the curse, I’ve vowed to never again own a Dolphins RB.

There’s bad juju hanging over that team, I tell ya.

i have to start him today.  I have Fournette, Yeldon, Clement, and Cohen as my rb's.   Hope today is the day he breaks out.....they need to give him the damn ball.

Play in shallow league starting 2 WR 2 RB and a flex.

Have D. Johnson, Ingram, Chubb, L. Miller, and Conner at RB.

Traded R. Woods and L. Miller for Drake and JuJu mainly for the WR upgrade, but hoping Drake breaks out.

Been on the field a lot in the second half.......having a good week.

But Gase is a disaster of a head coach in general. Just a horrific strategist and play caller. Can’t stand him anymore.

And the OL is officially an abortion again. Losing Kilgore and Sitton.....huge. And Tunsil limped off the field today. It is all falling apart.

Kenyan Drake rushed six times for 46 yards and caught 7-of-11 targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in Miami's Week 5 loss to the Bengals.

Drake was the only thing working in Miami's offense. He led the Dolphins in receiving in a game Ryan Tannehill threw for 185 yards. Drake didn't do much on the ground -- he was gifted a 25-yard run against prevent defense on the final play -- but it's a solid rebound after getting only four touches last week. Drake will be an RB3/FLEX in Week 6 against Chicago.

he's got to go, i think. there are really no excuses for how disappointing his tenure has been.

Happy with the game, but still don't understand his rushing usage.  When your starting RB has 5, 3, and 6 carries in the last 3 weeks (and you're 1-2 those weeks), there's a coaching issue.  11 and 14 carries the first two weeks (and went 2-0).  C'mon Gase.

lol @ Gase giving Gore all the carries.  I just don't think you can trust Drake week to week. He's talented, yes.  The o-line sucks.  The Coach is feeding Gore.  His role in the passing game saved the day.  Dolphins were ahead most of the game and he still didn't get a ton of usage.

Roster poison. Start him and he gets 3. Bench him and he gets 23. Can't cut, can't start, can't trade. I'll do everything I can to try to ship this wreck next week.

Bit melodramatic IMO. He's good. They just don't utilize him enough. It's strange because the rest of their offense is :bag:.

Today he had two 20+ yard plays on 13 touches. Most coaches would value that.

Gase is apparently eager to be unemployed though. Drake owners just have to hope he wakes up and gives him a little more work.

Lamar Miller when at Miami 2.0.

Welcome to the world of a Crowell owner.

Why Adam Gase hates Kenyan Drake owners.

“That’s the biggest thing,” coach Adam Gase said Thursday. “Frank does a really good job of, ‘We’re second-and-five, third-and-two.’ Or it’s we’re first down, second down, first down. Kenyan is coming along in that area, it’s just that he does give you that element of first-and-10, you get a 60-yard touchdown, where it’s a game changing play.”

So think of Drake as a home run hitter. Who also might strikes out a lot.

Think of Gore as a hitter with less power who will deliver for average.

“[Drake] did a really good job last week, I thought, of helping us stay on track,” Gase said. “There were a couple of times he tried to bounce it or do something that wasn’t designed for the play and we got zero yards or minus 1. But he did a good job of cutting [the number of] those back last week to where there was a lot of positive coming out of his touches at running back.”
Well at least we have an explanation. Hopefully Drake can learn on the job to prove better decisions with his opportunities this season. Hopefully.

With Tannehill out, is the Bears defense just going to suffocate the Dolphins or could Drake catch a bunch of dump-offs? Who are people starting Drake over today? I'm debating between Drake for upside and Funchess for safer floor.

It's tough to catch dump-offs thrown 8 feet  over your head.
