Ideally, sure. What are you getting though? A late 2nd? If you're a contender, I think he's a hold.
They needed depth, Evans and Freeman were the only healthy RB's on the roster including practice squad. Henderson is a known commodity (though it's notable he's starting off on the PS rather than the 53) and Gaskin is just another body, possibly to fill the COP role that Rivers was occupying. If Henderson is called up to the gameday roster then that might be chaotic.D. Henderson...and now M. Gaskin?
Getting nervous.
Went from being "ok" to...what?

That would make everyone going after Z. Evans tonight...unhappy.
pretty much every new signing goes on the PS at this time of year. There's no down side to it for the team - they can activate him any time they want. And if he's not ready, they can leave him there or even cut him if he's simply lost it.They needed depth, Evans and Freeman were the only healthy RB's on the roster including practice squad. As a Kyren owner, I'm starting to question going after Evans now.i assume they add henderson to active roster before sunday since he knows the playbook. Im not gonna lie it does not feel like Evans will handle the lead work.
but I think sell high is still the answer long term
Ideally, sure. What are you getting though? A late 2nd? If you're a contender, I think he's a hold.
I got a 1st rounder today, which will likely be late (12 team league). The other guy’s team is going to be 5-1 after this weekend, and has Walker/Charbonnet, Achane on IR and his next best rb would be Warren. He’s in win now mode and thinks Williams can get him deep in the playoffs. He offered a second 2 weeks ago, and I declined, planning to come back to him after William’s next good week. He could conceivably lose early in the playoffs and I could get a 4-7 pick..who knows. My team is solid, but got off to a bad start. I’m 2-4, but have Bijan, Swift, Javonte/Perine, Gus Edwards, so I can still compete. Now I’ve got an extra first rounder thanks to a guy I drafted in the 5th round last year and was thinking of dropping before the season started to make room for this years rookies.
As a non-Kyren owner, I'm starting to question how injured he actually is. Freeman, Gaskin, and now Henderson? Alot of movement for a 1 week injury, don't you think? As a Kyren owner, I'm starting to question going after Evans now.i assume they add henderson to active roster before sunday since he knows the playbook. One, still hoping this isn't a long term issue.
Two, feels like it could be a RBBC for a week ish.
Henderson is a bum.i assume they add henderson to active roster before sunday since he knows the playbook. Im not gonna lie it does not feel like Evans will handle the lead work.
I was thinking the same, although they clearly need to activate two guys to replace Kyren and Rivers and they won’t all be active on game day.As a non-Kyren owner, I'm starting to question how injured he actually is. Dumb of that guy to do that now, IMO. Always a chance Zach Evans goes off next week and Kyren finds himself in more of an RBBC when he gets back. Or he could be out longer than expected. Only way you do that NOW is if you know there's another team also offering their 1st for him.

To be fair, he sent me the offer early Monday morning, before anyone knew Williams would miss this weeks game. I don’t think he, or I even knew there was an ankle issue at all. That came out mid-afternoon, long after I accepted. Also, when he initially reached out, I told him that was a fair offer and I’d consider it unless someone else gave me more. He then formally sent the offer and I smash accepted, as I was looking for a 1st all along and wasn’t expecting to get it.
While I agree no one they're bringing in is anything special, I still question why so many movements if Kyren is only supposed to miss a single week? I am thinking maybe McVay already knows this isn't just a week-long thing? I don't trust a single player or coach anymore, when it comes to injuries. As a non-Kyren owner, I'm starting to question how injured he actually is. Freeman, Gaskin, and now Henderson? Nah the cupboard is bare. The guys they're bringing in don't scream long term solutions.

Its possible Kyren is more hurt than they are letting on, but I think the most logical conclusion is that Evans sucks, or at least has given them the impression in practice that he's not ready to be relied upon at all. While I agree no one they're bringing in is anything special, I still question why so many movements if Kyren is only supposed to miss a single week? I wouldnt bother with Freeman. Hes really not good. He is being listed at about 240 lbs now. Thats more of a FB than a RB and he seems like a special teams player only.Where there is smoke there's fire.
Just got an update: Out multiple weeks. Will be back at latest after week 11 bye.
Value goes poof.
Somebody beat me to Z. Evans. Contemplating R. Freeman.

If you have a spot open and nothing else to grab I would take a chance with Henderson or Gaskin over Freeman fron this backfield. Henderson seems more likely fit if Evans cant get it done.
On the other hand if the Rams are just going to throw the ball now and they cant trust Evans to protect Stafford (which is what it looks like) maybe they do use Freeman for that? But is that what you want?
Henderson and Gaskin have at least produced at the NFL level before although they have been cast aside.
If I had to be on who the Rams leading RB is in Williams absence, I'd bet on Henderson. He was the starter at this time last year. Not sure about ever. There have been years like this before. Maybe more than average? This is unbelievable! I lost Barkley, thankfully he's back, but then lost A Jones, Achane, we'll see about CMC, & now this. Is this the most injury prone year ever for RB's or am I just having the worst luck ever?
Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams is expected to miss multiple games but should be back, at the latest, after their Week 10 bye, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Wednesday.
Williams suffered an ankle sprain in Sunday's 26-9 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, a game in which he rushed for a career-high 158 yards and a touchdown. A source had previously told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Williams was expected to miss at least Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Running back Ronnie Rivers also was injured in Sunday's game, sustaining a knee injury.
On Monday, coach Sean McVay didn't give a specific timeline for their return, saying only that "the initial prognosis looks like it's going to be challenging for those guys in the immediate future."
As a result of the injuries, the Rams elevated Royce Freeman to the active roster and signed Darrell Henderson, who was waived by the team last season, to the practice squad. In addition, the Rams signed running back Myles Gaskin off the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad and added him to their active roster, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
McVay on Monday said the Rams are still "working through" the plan without Williams and Rivers but noted that rookie running back Zach Evans got the first carries after the injuries Sunday.

My gutsayshopes that Evans is the next man up, and the other signings are in case he catches a case of fumblitis. That is, he's there until he loses the job.
I don't think they can release Gaskin. When you sign somebody from another team's practice squad you have to keep them for something like 3 or 4 games. Not sure of Evans ability but thinking whoever they turn to must be able to know protections & pass block pretty well as their not going to want Stafford getting busted up again...I read a bit about Evans as a draft prospect and fumbles was an issue that came up in some of the evaluations.i assume they add henderson to active roster before sunday since he knows the playbook. fumbling was the big issue with him. and given Staffords Health I dont think they want him doing a whole lot of Pass Pro unless he has cleaned that up.Yeah I agree. Faust posted something from pff showing Evans had a bad pass protection grade from their charting FWIW.
In reading a few prospect articles about Evans I saw fumbling as a negative come up more than pass protection, but sometimes thats not something evaluators focus on much compared to other things RB do.
Yeah the playbooks are different. However considering McVay and Oconnell are both running similar offenses maybe it wont be that hard to get Gaskin up to speed as it would be for a RB from a less similar scheme.fumbling was the big issue with him. and given Staffords Health I dont think they want him doing a whole lot of Pass Pro unless he has cleaned that up.Yeah I agree. Not sure of Evans ability but thinking whoever they turn to must be able to know protections & pass block pretty well as their not going to want Stafford getting busted up again...I read a bit about Evans as a draft prospect and fumbles was an issue that came up in some of the evaluations.i assume they add henderson to active roster before sunday since he knows the playbook. but he and Henderson are the only credible option that knows the playbook. I could see Gaskin being a serviceable option for a week or two if Kyren Williams is missing more than a couple of weeks. but Gaskin wont be able to go in for more than a handful of plays as he does not know Enough of the playbook. Maybe they use him on passing downs to start to take some pressure off the kid. I admit I dont base this on anything other than personal opinion. But Gaskin has at least been a starter in the past. That counts for something
I agree Gaskin has the right skillset. but for this week at least, we are likely looking at Evans. I could see Gaskin getting in on some situational stuff.Yeah the playbooks are different. That might be part of why they grabbed him over someone else.
