RB Kyren Williams, LAR (9 Viewers)

As Singletary is not a top 10 RB
Singletary has been a top 10 RB over the last three weeks with Pierce out. What changes that this week? 52 carries over the last two weeks. Tough to sit that type of usage.
last 2 weeks.

one week was against arizona bottom 5 Run Defense based on fantasy points allowed and the other against cincy who has been hot and cold against the run this year.

given the small sample size I'm not willing to label him a top 10 RB.

I'm willing to buy that hes a legit starter in this league. Not willing to buy that hes a #1 RB. Not yet anyways. Sure he is running behind a pretty decent front. better than what he had in Buffalo but this is pushing it.

In my opinion, If Kyren Williams is healthy and it looks like he gets a full workload in the next game. you should play him.

I wonder what happens if/when Pierce comes back? Will they go back to 50/50 split?
Why would they? Pierce has done nothing this year. I think this coaching staff is smart and they’ll use Pierce to give Singletary a breather going forward, but Singletary has earned the role

I am pretty sure Pierce has lost his starting gig. Its not for sure, but I'd say the odds are at least 50-50 and probably higher that he has lost his starting gig

I agree with this but I don't necessarily think it should be at the benching of Singletary. Obviously need to know what the options are but at this point it is hard to sit a RB that is getting 20+ carries a game. I guess if Pierce is back maybe that throws a bit of wrench into those totals but I would be surprised if Houston went away from Singletary with how good he has been.

who else do you have?

I said you shouldnt bench a top 10 RB to play Kyren williams, but most teams start 2 RB. what are the odds you have two top 10 RBs on your roster.
sure it's possible. I had two until I had to trade one away to get a QB in my superflex league due to injury.

if you tell us who your other options are, it might be easier for us to give good advice

I don't have Kyren so it's not me asking the question. My whole point was benching Singletary for Kyren doesn't seem like the best of ideas for this week depending on what the other options are. I am not sure who was asking the comparison between Singletary/Kyren.

Gotta think R. Freeman still gets some touches.

Would love to start him, but would have to bench one of Mostert or Z. Charbonnet.

Well, the Jaxonville run D is pretty good. better than anything Singletary has faced since he became the starter and started putting up good numbers.

Kyren williams is up against Zona who is one of the weakest run D in the NFL.

I think if they say hes getting a full workload, you may want a piece of that action.

for me the scary part about playing williams is if hes on a pitch count. coach wont always tell you whether that is the case or not but it is a concern. I have no questions about his talent. The dude can play.

Run game could be emphasized even more with Kupp and Puka dinged.

also true.
but he will face more stacked boxes too..

thing I like about williams is he also catches passes. I coulld see him and Tutu Atwell both getting a lot of action.

Rams have designated Kyren Williams (ankle) to return from injured reserve.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter said Williams, who has been sidelined since Week 6, is expected to suit up this week against the Cardinals. Williams had 158 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 against Arizona’s generous rush defense. He should immediately take over lead back duties in a Rams offense that has leaned toward the run over the past few weeks. Williams can be put back into fantasy lineups as a top-15 option in Week 12.

Nobody believed in Kyren the first 6 weeks when all he did was put up RB4 overall numbers, I don't expect any of the experts to believe in him now that he is returning from a 3-4 week injury after 6 weeks thanks to the bye/IR rules.

He put up 150+ yards and a TD against the Cards in week 6 with Kupp on the field, I don't see any reason he shouldn't get 15-25 points this Sunday, closer to the high end. If there was ANY concern about his ankle they would not have fired Henderson, their lead back the last 5 weeks.
I believe in him. I watched him. he passed the eye test.

for me the only question is whether he is on a pitch count in his first game back. The prospect of a pitch count scares me some but I do think he has himself a nice week this week against an easy opponent even with the pitch count.

Anyone know what is going on with Ronnie Rivers? I can't find any information on him. Could be meaningful if something happens to Kyren again.

Start him...telling myself, remember Achane....give it a week, let him show it...then start him. Fool me once...

McVay on Kyren Williams:

“He looked like he was full-speed in the walk-through just now.”

McVay said there are no plans to limit Williams as he returns to practice for the first time since he required a cast around his injured ankle.

“I think you want to be smart about it, I think you want to be able to simulate some drills without the risk of injury. If he’s feeling good, we want him to be able to have a normal workload.”

Their season is on the edge, they need to win this game, he seems fully fit by all accounts and was easily their best RB. Not particularly high draft capital invested, I don’t think they limit his touches at all tbh

I have to decide between him and Mostert
I’m in the same spot and can’t make up my mind. Jets are missing a DL and CB and already give up a lot of yards to runners, so now I’m leaning Mostert. Plus, with the Jets O being terrible, Mostert might get a lot of short fields to punch it in.

Rams activated RB Kyren Williams from injured reserve.

The workhorse back got in a full week of practice, paving the way for him to reclaim a heavy workload for the Rams in his first game back from four missed contests with an ankle injury. Williams leads the league in snap rate in healthy games for running backs at 85.9 percent and averages 16.2 carries and 4.0 targets per game, including 25 total red zone opportunities through six contests. he immediately returns to the RB1 discussion against the Cardinals.

Someone stupidly held Williams all year then dropped him last week too bad for me I already spent $350 on Mitchell a few weeks ago and now it cost me getting Williams who went for only $393 somehow. He should gone for almost all of whoever had the most money left but nope he is still sitting on $513.........dumb

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports Kyren Williams will be the “lead back” for the Rams in Week 12 against the Cardinals.

Pelissero said we will see a 2:1 ratio of Williams to backup Royce Freeman in Week 12. Williams may give up slightly more work to his backup than he did before landing on injured reserve with an ankle injury, but two-thirds of the touches would still be an elite role for him to return to. Williams can be treated as a low-end RB1 versus a weak Arizona defense.
