RB TreVeyon Henderson, NE (5 Viewers)

If its not now then when for Henderson ? I had him on all my benches now putting him in all my lineups.

It better be now.

Henderson and Croskey-Merrit (but wouldn't blame you if you went Monangi over Bill, but they are saying Washington wants to get the running game going this weekend)

I would blame someone if they went JCM over Monangai unless you prefer that sweet 4 ppg avg over last 3 weeks

Look. Most of us Team Henderson people have already ate crow and concluded he ain't gonna be what we thought at least for this year. Big whiff for me. I'd argue my biggest whiff of the draft. Having said that, 7 carries and 3 receptions, at the half, in a close game makes me thrilled.

Usage! Better than nothing

Looks like the best case scenario would be for him to turn into a “Chase Brown” type back in a good offense. Just a terrible pick .. They could’ve drafted someone like Brashard Smith in the 7th if they were looking for a change of pace receiving back. Feel bad for the kid.

He survived the trade deadline.
Might just mean Stevenson will be back soon.
16 carrjes for 41 yards coming up for Rhomondre :hifive:
And 2 TD
More likely 3 fumbles
He hadn’t fumbled in 5 games. Same number of fumbles in that span as Henderson.
He has less than 300 yards in 8 games as the starter with as many fumbles as TDs at 3.4 a carry. One good year in his career and has gotten worse every season since. He’s awesome!

He has 448 yards on 12 touches/game. 4.5 yards/touch, 3.4 yards/carry (terrible) & 10.6 yards/reception (excellent).

Why do people pretend that passing and rushing statistics are separate entities?

I have 3 Jennings shares. I hope he’s a monster. But I am a realist and the Pats like what RS brings to the table. He’s a big back who blocks well. IMO when all are healthy it’ll be a mess, and the one who gets GL will come out on top for FF. None will be more than a what the heck flex in that scenario as well.

When all are healthy Jennings will go back to the bench and special teams duty.

His receiving stats are inflated by one big fluky game where he had 88 yards against the Dolphins in week 2. He starts in a good offense with an amazing young QB and is on pace for less than a 1000 total yards for the season combined. His main job is as a runner and he has failed.

Stevenson is terrible.

I predict 13 carries for 32 yards, 2 rec for 4 yards, 2 TDs and 2 fumbles...1 at the goalline and 1 deep in their own territory. And NE will still trot him out as the starter. Vrabel talks out of both sides of his mouth.

Stephenson hasn't been great, but many times, he gets nailed in the backfield as soon as he touches the ball. It's not his fault the line doesn't run block well. And Henderson's numbers only started improving when they pivoted to pitch plays, sweeps, and things to the outside.

Based on expected ypc vs. actual ypc, Stephenson is at +0.4 while Henderson is at -1.8. That's a net of 2.2 yards in favor of Stevenson. Stevenson has been getting 2.89 yards after conact vs. 2.75 for Henderson. On top of that, there have been multiple big passing plays where Stevenson pancaked blitzers. Stevenson didn't play last week, and they allowed 6 sacks. I get that fans are quick to grab torches and pitchforks when it comes to Stevenson, but Vrabel and McDaniels have seen more anout Stevenson keeping Maye upright and keeping the ball moving through the air.

This is what most of us have been saying all year. It falls on deaf ears. None of the RS haters want to believe he’s good at football things that Hendo isn’t.

Henderson is way better at the things fantasy managers want.
Stevenson is way better at the things coaches want, except for fumbling.

Vrabel and the coaches have decided that Hendersons positives don't out weigh his negatives and rightfully so. Maye is the key to this offense, not Steveson and not Henderson. So if they have to sacrifice a possession, and some big play ability to keep Maye healthy and happy then it will be done.

Hopefully Henderson learns those skills, then the sky is the limit.

It's just crazy because Henderson was supposed to be one of the best pass pro backs in the draft and it's like once he got drafted he forgot how to. Either that or the scouts are clueless. Thought for sure this guy would be on the field a lot. It's almost like the team already has a bad taste in its mouth with this guy and he may never get a legit shot.
