For all the “sell Mortimer, SELL!” talk
All I see so far are members here posting that. lolFor all the “sell Mortimer, SELL!” talk
Sometimes the consensus dynasty advice is just not actionable. I've been down that road many times with dynasty advice from the experts. Sometimes that advice is really for beginners just starting out in a new format.
Not many experienced dynasty players are buying Chandler right now, I'd imagine. I mean, all it takes is one guy to buy him, but when you see five or more publications that are telling people to sell him, the cat's out of the bag. In addition to that, most people paying attention right now are astute dynasty players who are less likely to make that mistake, so your odds of moving him now get even worse.

I don’t think past results of comparably drafted RBs should necessarily be a barometer, especially since RBs are being drafted later and later in recent years. It’s just the nature of the position that most RBs don’t stick long as starters. All that said, draft capital does tend to matter for those fortunate to be drafted in, say, the first two rounds, as they will likely given a longer leash, just like most positions.I'm not a believer. There's a very very limited list of 5th/6th/7th/UDFA that have any prolonged success (Yes, Arien Foster, Willie Parker)
Do you think if most know about him, his price will increase a lot? Or will the competition for him increase?Surprising there is more sell talk than optimism in this thread. Why do y'all own Chandler to begin with? I acquired cheaply pre-2023 after a long pursuit because he'd been spectacular in preseason touches, KOC raves him, and this is exactly how I saw the Mattison experiment playing out. He's where I hoped he'd get, with a chip and a chair.
I don't expect anyone to be offering Mattison/2023 value in trade though. Mattison had been extended and paid starter $. Chandler has no team commitment and is still an unknown to most. I'm fine with that since I want to own him anyway.
The competition for Chandler will increase in free agency and possibly the draft. The Vikings will add 2 RBs.Do you think if most know about him, his price will increase a lot? Yep… That’s exactly what I’m sayingWho those RB are will determine how Chandlers price will change
Then it’s only a matter of time before Chandler has a starting job. What if the Vikings somehow got JK Dobbins
Sure. That's why I considered this intriguing. Then it’s only a matter of time before Chandler has a starting job. What if the Vikings somehow got JK Dobbins![]()
Chandler is the play going forward if Jones is out. I don't think there is any question about that. I'm not watching the game currently, so I can't attest to current usage, but I firmly believe Chandler would get most of the carries. So Jones goes out, and it is NOT Chandler SZN, it is a gut-punchingly scattered RBBC across three scrubs.
Guess by the end of today I'll be dropping instead of hoping.

I'm thinking both.Huh. Can’t decide if the Akers trade is a “lack of confidence, chandler stonks down” decision or a “Jones’s hip is worse than they’ve let on, chandler stonks up” decision
Is Chandler now a must add?I'm thinking both.Huh. Can’t decide if the Akers trade is a “lack of confidence, chandler stonks down” decision or a “Jones’s hip is worse than they’ve let on, chandler stonks up” decision
Can't be a great sign for A. Jones.
Could be a sign they don't trust Chandler. Is Chandler now a must add?I'm thinking both.Huh. Can’t decide if the Akers trade is a “lack of confidence, chandler stonks down” decision or a “Jones’s hip is worse than they’ve let on, chandler stonks up” decision

Why would they not trust Chandler? He was fantastic when handed the starting role last year.Could be a sign they don't trust Chandler. Is Chandler now a must add?I'm thinking both.Huh. He's been arguably the worst RB in the NFL through 6 weeks. He's dead last in yards after contact (the only RB under 2.00 yards in the NFL) and he's not hitting big plays with only 1 of his 42 carries topping 15 yards. Akers hasn't been good either, but he's been better than Chandler this year. Why would they not trust Chandler?
