RB/WR Ty Montgomery, NE (1 Viewer)

Likely Davis.

Gonna drop McKinnon for him if it's confirmed that Ty is out.

(instead of dropping Tucker)

what a bunch of BS! in my short bench league (CBS) all FA's are locked 5min before the 1st (excluding london) games. So, i literally can't do anything...I'm stuck with a 0

He's on the field for pre-game stretching, warmups.  I'm going to wait for the official inactives report to figure out what's really up.  Looks to be conflicting info between NFL.com reporters and ESPN reporters.

I just got an alert from ESPN he is out. I hope I didn't just drop him for nothing (10-team shallow bench league)

PSA: Adams was a scratch last week until he was announced as healthy right before game time.

I ain't making any moves until I hear it from the horse's mouth.

This was 42 minutes ago...

Ty Montgomery has been on the field for the last 20 minutes or so with the early group of players warming up. No official word on his status (illness).
Odd.

Last possible move - I could drop the GB DST (didn't use them this week) to pickup Janis.

I have to make that move, right?

Should I drop McKinnon or Tucker for Knile?

Or I could wait to see if I need more points after these afternoon games and then add someone frok SNF or MNF...

So the Montgomery train lasted a whole two weeks.  Well, that was a fun ride while it lasted.

I'm now relying on Cordarrelle Patterson to pass concussion protocol in all three of my leagues.  Can't wait for that to blow up in my face, too.

Same situation with Patterson here

GB homer here and I haven't heard a peep what this mysterious illness might be. Been really hush hush. Hopefully nothing serious. It is odd that he was a limited participant all week, traveled with the team, and even warmed up before the game. That would lead to thinking that it isn't serious but the local writers haven't even hinted as to what this might be - flu? bad cold? sinus infection? Something more?

Where's Dr. Brew and his insider friend?

you want a doctor to tell you what being sick means?

Thanks gents for the updates.  Annoying that Monty is not even listed in the official Week 8 Actives and Inactives.
What do you mean by "official"? He's listed at NFL.com.

Maurile did not mention Montgomery in his thread, but someone else posted it in that thread 2 hours ago. Either way I would hardly describe that thread as "official".

That is why that pinned thread is so worthless. You used to be able to tell at glance at page 1 who is in and who is out. Now you got to continually click on that thread and always scroll down to look to see if something is different than the main list (which was never updated with the info about Montgomery).

I got his status info on Twitter about an hour before, but any Montgomery owner relying on that thread were probably SOL (sure out of luck).

Another example of, it if ain't broke, fix it. And it was changed because one person complained. The old system was fine, it moved non related starting news to page 2, but if there was breaking news about an injury somebody would post it (and not just in an existing player thread like this where you might miss it) and you would see it if there was not already a specific thread about that player. Now you are told not to post injury updates or breaking news because that thread covers it (well not very well as was proven today).

End of rant.

I didn't realize that when there is a thread pinned in the forum and I quote the exact name of that thread in my post, that it would not be obvious as to what I was talking about and that someone would find it important enough to call me on that lack of clarity.  My bad.

I think there has to be a better way for this forum to balance the need to provide info while also saving space on the front page. Maybe a compromise that has individual threads for big-name players, and then a separate thread for guys who probably aren't on very many fantasy rosters?

Week 1 was a fustercluck, though. Page 1 was filled with pinned threads for marginal players who barely had any fantasy relevance.

That's just effing awesome, I had no clue there was chance this pu@@y was missing the game. I had to run out & get back to see he is inactive. Poor baby have tummy ache. Another soft player, but that's the league anymore

Rumors/worries that he wouldn't play were out there all morning
