RB's value changing teams in 2012 (1 Viewer)

So last year I drafted a few guys changing teams and did OK.

Any candidates this year that may excel in new situations???

Tolbert - Panthers

Addai - Pats

Hillis -Chiefs

Jacobs -49ers

Bush - Bears

Tolbert and Bush seem to be potentials for next year.

How do you miss the only seemingly relevant option in BJGE?

Honestly, none of those guys are draftable in most redraft league IMO. I just don't think they will be used that much unless there is an injury to the starter and in most of those cases, even then, it isn't clear they would be the guy. If I drafted Forte, and was in a TD heavy league, I would take Bush late. If I were in a PPR league, I might take a flyer on Tolbert late. Jacobs I think will be the lone man out in SF. Hillis could get some work if Charles is slow to recover. I doubt that Addai is the man to make the RB relevent in NE at this point in his career.

Agree with this. BJGE is the only guy who will get much of a chance, short of an injury.

I think Tolbert is now worthless.Addai might do well as a flex play depending on how it shakes out between Vereen and himself, and if Ridley flops you never know.I think Hillis can get 10 TD's easy as the goal line/back-up back.Jacobs will steal some TD's but probably not be fantasy relevant unless Gore goes down.Bush should be a decent flex play.BJGE has virtually no competition.

Sorry I missed the law firm. Don't sue me :lmao:

I think BJGE will be a very nice pick in the mid rounds of redraft. I also wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Addai, as I could see the Pats relying on him more than their other backs just because of his pass blocking and catching abilities. I also see KC running a lot this year, and think Hillis will get closer to an even split of carries with Charles than most people (maybe 15ish each).

I think Hillis outscores them all, including BJGE, even if Charles doesn't miss any time. In Charles best year (2010), he only got 230 carries and 245 went to Thomas Jones. Hillis is a great deal more talented than Jones, and while I don't expect the same offensive philosophy, the Chiefs are best served as a running team, and Charles isn't going to get 250+ carries this year. I could easily see Hillis going for 185 carries, 800 yards, 35 catches for 300 yeards, and 8-10 combined TDs. While not spectacular, this is solid production in a PPR.

Tolbert - Panthers - don't even waste your time. he's 4th on the depth chart behind newton, jstew and dwill

Addai - Pats - no way. addai won't be able to over take either ridley or vereen.

Hillis -Chiefs - i really like hillis this year. it's a combination of charles coming off a major knee injury and the man brian daboll as offensive coordinator. who was the offensive coordinator in 2010 when hillis went ape crazy. who was the offensive coordinator when reggie bush resurrected his career in 2011. who's the offensive coordinator this year for the chiefs. that's right, brian daboll. i'm targeting hillis in all redraft leagues.

Jacobs -49ers - jacobs is awful and is in competition with 45 other running backs behind gore. spend your money somewhere else.

Bush - Bears - monitor the forte holdout. bush's value is slowly increasing.

law firm - this guy is the definition of average. but as unsexy as this pick is the situation is ripe for reward. there's no competition. cincy has shown year after year they don't trust bernard scott. sorry all you bernard scott fans. cincinnati's line is top 5 in the nfl. and as average as law firm is, that o line and the touches he's going to get will make him a nice rb2 this year

hillis and law firm are the guys to target in 2012 while keeping bush on your radar

Hillis is not "a great deal more talented than Jones", he is just much younger. I think you're selling Thomas Jones way short, in his prime he was a very good RB. Now by the time Jones got to KC he wasn't the RB he used to be, so Hillis is certainly a step up from what Jones brought to KC when he was over 30. And I agree that Hillis could post surprisingly good numbers.

I meant in relation to the player Thomas Jones was in 2010, not while he was in his prime.

BJGE is the best option out of these guys; he should provide pretty similar production to what Benson did in Cinci. Nothing spectacular, but he will be steady IMO.

Hillis will be a decent backup or maybe flex guy. Charles isn't a 20+ carry player even when healthy and the Chiefs will run a ton. Hillis will get about 1000 total yards and would appear to be in line for a nice chunk of goal line work.

Bush is a good handcuff if you own Forte, who is a 20+ carry guy.

Tolbert, Addai, and Jacobs shouldn't be rostered except in super deep leagues unless one of those teams has a slew of RB injuries at some point.
