Winter's Bone
The most realistic, down to earth, major film made in years. Great script, great acting, great cinematography and directing. But the story........left a lot to be desired for this guy, really wish they would have opened it up a little at the end. Also, the part with where they log the forest was kind of bush league the way it was handled. Logging really isn't raping and pillaging the land like it's portrayed here. Also, for everything else being so realistic, the drug use was kind of over the top. Nobody carries around $500 worth of Meth in a plastic baggy and they would be smoking a lot more of it rather than snorting.
3.5/5
A beautiful film though.
