I should probably start a thread on this, but y'all are my movie pals & i'd sooner trust your advise as anyone.I have become increasingly agoraphobic ever since i got sick. It's gotten so that i lump errands together so i go out as seldom as possible. I hate the general public and come real close to biffing one of them every time im in public.Thing is, my cousin's movie (Pirates4) comes out Friday and my dashing-off of a comforting & enthusiastic e-mail has become an important part of settling his opening-day jitters. I had no trouble with crowds going to the first-day matinee of his last two movies ("Nine" & "Memoirs of a Geisha") because they werent hits, and "Chicago" was such pure bliss for all connected to it (within 10 days he went from a final-edit obsessive fear-of-failure to the hottest director in town) that the full theater wasnt a problem for me.But this is a full-blown mega-franchise 3-D, meaning both kids & yahoos. Fortunately, school isnt out til a week later, so i'm thinking of the first matinee rather than the midnight sow (does anyone know what those are like?). Unfortunately, the gal who usually comes to keep me chill at big public things isnt available. I've actually been taken into police custody twice in my life over theater beefs. I am literally dreading this like a fear-of-flying person. Any tips on avoiding scrapes and keeping my cool while remaining aware enough to write a good capsule thing to my cuz?
