watched 40 Year Old Virgin last night. Thought it was very funny, but dragged on too long. Still well worth the rental cost.
Saw most of this last weekend but only got to the point where they were on the 20th date and she freaked b/c he wouldn't sleep with her. Wife and I hit the sack b/c we thought it dragged on too long as well. What happens after that? I assume he scores, but verification would be appreciated.
i'd hate to spoil it....

it's hollywood. what do you think happened?
So is it actually worth watching the ending? I can't ask anyone what happened in the office here b/c I work with a bunch of computer geeks. I'm quite certain most (if not all) of them would have left the theatre half way through crying as this flick probably hits waaay to close to home for them.
No. the ending is very predictable and drags on way way way too long. they get married, have sex and then launch into an idiotic dance number with the entire cast doing their version of "Aquarious". In fact, I kind of wish I missed that part myself. The first 2/3 of the movie are the only redeeming parts, so you're good.
That sounds terrible. Thanks for saving me both time and $. Have a good holiday season!
You know how i know youre gay? Because you take advice from other dudes.Seriously though, the movie is worth the rental for the deleted scenes alone, not to mention the movie was hilarious.
Just checking back on this thread and noticed this crap. So you're telling me BS that b/c I DON'T like stupid dance numbers in movies, that makes me gay. Riiiight.

I thought that 40YOV was one of those typical flicks that gets built up way too much before you see it and then disappoints. The few parts I did find amusing were in the trailers - just like most movies that are weak.
Hoping for better results from Wedding Crashers tonight.
To add to the conversation at hand again - saw Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
Jolie didn't even save the day.
