I liked the first 2/3. The last 1/3 got pretty lame.I've never understood the Adaptation love. That movie sucked.

Kumar: "I lose my touch."Dignan: "Did you ever have any touch to lose?!"Who's that man?What?"Ca-caw! Anthony!"Bottle Rocket is brilliant. I died laughing when Owen Wilson does those bird calls as he's getting beat up.
Who's that man?
That's Applejack!
It was completely lame but that was Kaufman's point.Crappy movie.I liked the first 2/3. The last 1/3 got pretty lame.I've never understood the Adaptation love. That movie sucked.
I looked back a couple pages and noticed you thought The Ringer and Waiting were worth renting. It was completely lame but that was Kaufman's point.Crappy movie.I liked the first 2/3. The last 1/3 got pretty lame.I've never understood the Adaptation love. That movie sucked.
Yea I am very well rounded in my movie tastes.I looked back a couple pages and noticed you thought The Ringer and Waiting were worth renting. It was completely lame but that was Kaufman's point.Crappy movie.I liked the first 2/3. I love this movie.Three Kings
Wasn't too bad. About three US soldiers after the gulf war who plot to steal Saddam's cache of stolen Kuwaiti gold. I think what made this movie unique was there were some strange mixes of emotions. It is billed as a dark comedy and that about sums it up. There are a few pretty intense and emotional scenes, and mixed in with them is some humor that you wouldn't expect considering what else is going on in the scene.
It did keep me interested though, and although I'm sure it is mostly fiction, still made me go "whoa" to some of the things they portrayed about life after the war in Iraq for the US army, the republican guard, and the iraqi civilians. Pretty good movie.
If you're in on the joke, the movie is brilliant. That said, it's a one line joke that plays out over two hours...so the re-watch potential is about 10%.It was completely lame but that was Kaufman's point.Crappy movie.I liked the first 2/3. that's good One interesting question about that movie - Remember when one of the soldiers was rescued and was given a gun to shoot the guy who was torturing him - and he did not shoot him. Would you have shot him?I love this movie.Three Kings

Thought Woody covered this ground better in "Crimes and Misdemeanors", but that one didn't have Scarlett J's moozambos.Match Point-Woody Allen Thriller. Good flick. Definitely worth a watch.

probably. I don't think I'd like being tortured very much. One interesting question about that movie - Remember when one of the soldiers was rescued and was given a gun to shoot the guy who was torturing him - and he did not shoot him.
Would you have shot him?

I would have probably hooked the juice up to him and given him some of the same treatment. No in reality I probably would have shot him. He showed himself to be a very bad dude, and one less of them would have been a good thing. The fact that he had no family anymore (although it was b/c of US bombs) would have probably made me even more inclined to do it.One interesting question about that movie - Remember when one of the soldiers was rescued and was given a gun to shoot the guy who was torturing him - and he did not shoot him. But did you kind of sympathize with him some because of his family?I did but I still would have shot him.I would have probably hooked the juice up to him and given him some of the same treatment. No in reality I probably would have shot him. Oh definately. The scene was the exact definition of the Helsinki Syndrome. Had he left it without the little oil tirade then your question would have been much tougher to answer, but just as I feel for the guy he shows his true colors again. But did you kind of sympathize with him some because of his family?I did but I still would have shot him.I would have probably hooked the juice up to him and given him some of the same treatment. No in reality I probably would have shot him. Match Point is a thriller?I thought it was just a chick flick/love story.Again, check my user photo for an insta-boner.Agree on all counts.Thought Woody covered this ground better in "Crimes and Misdemeanors", but that one didn't have Scarlett J's moozambos.Match Point-Woody Allen Thriller. Throw Momma From The Train was good for that.not really. it's about getting away with murder.
it isn't released until the first week of September. i can get plenty if you need one.My wife and I got addicted to this as well. I got pretty annoyed when I went to buy season two and it's backordered until October ( ! ).Going through LOST season 1. Excellent commentary - I like how they'll actually stop the action to show some behind the scenes stuff, and then continue it.
Perfectly worded... especially the bit about Scarlett Js wazoolies..Thought Woody covered this ground better in "Crimes and Misdemeanors", but that one didn't have Scarlett J's moozambos.Match Point-Woody Allen Thriller. Good flick. Definitely worth a watch.
I just got really excited thinking this was a "Days of Heaven" 4 disc set... Kingdom of Heaven- not a bad rental.Bought the Kingdom of Heaven 4-Disc Director's Cut.
I think the stuff they added made for a much improved movie. Worth a rental if you can find it, worth a purchase if you like such movies and have the extra scratch.
The additional material is outlined here.
Funny movie. I liked it a lot.Kiss Kiss Bang Bang![]()

I thought that Shane Black's return film was well done, fast flowing and full of great dialogue. Although I thought that Downey and Kilmer are excellent in the two leading roles I thought that the movies popularity suffered from having two perceived has beens in the leading roles. If this movie had one of the guys in it.... with the other role being played by a current bankable star I think it would have been alot bigger. I think it has great potential to be a cult or sleeper hit on DVD .......
this was my reason for recommending it. dude can act.Saw Chopper...... Meh...Eric Bana did a great job in this movie though....
I'm pretty sure it was mentioned before but Green Street Hooligans was a very good movie. I would definitely recommend it.
This needs to be added every so often.Gilbert Gottfried was so disgusting but I couldn't help but laugh, Southpark and the Mime were good, but the rest was well, boring...It got oldFinally rented "The Aristocrats"... amazing how much variety can come out of documentary about one joke.
Gotta say- I laughed my ### off- particularly at the guy with the bad ventriloquist's dummy.
sarah silverman was funny/creepy too, but other than that this movie had nothing.Gilbert Gottfried was so disgusting but I couldn't help but laugh, Southpark and the Mime were good, but the rest was well, boring...It got oldFinally rented "The Aristocrats"... amazing how much variety can come out of documentary about one joke.
Gotta say- I laughed my ### off- particularly at the guy with the bad ventriloquist's dummy.
i loved the interview with the guy too. i liked the movie but felt like i was missing out on something. it may have more meaning/relevance to aussies than americans.Saw Chopper...... Meh...
I thought that this movie was overrated. It wasn't that gory and it wasn't that violent. Also, there was very little to no plot. I thought that it even fell flat as a character study of MArk "Chopper" Read. To me, the real interesting part of the DVD was the interviews the director and Eric Bana had with the real Mark Read. Eric Bana did a great job in this movie though....
I agree. I was very dissapointed. I think that given this good group of comics, a funny film could have been made. But 90 minutes of diarrhea jokes got old.sarah silverman was funny/creepy too, but other than that this movie had nothing.Gilbert Gottfried was so disgusting but I couldn't help but laugh, Southpark and the Mime were good, but the rest was well, boring...It got oldFinally rented "The Aristocrats"... amazing how much variety can come out of documentary about one joke.

Great movie. Very touching. Finally saw Finding Neverland. It was surprisingly good. Johnny Depp is definitely one of the best actors out there today.
