A complete non-movie aside... got tickets to Patrick Stewart in Macbeth for Mom's Day- going next week and I can't wait. With a lot of theater friends and family, I got pretty jaded about theater by the time I was done with Grad School... I haven't been this excited about seeing something since True West with Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Charles C Reilly swapping roles.
I couldn't watch that. Found it painful and had to turn it off. Fan of all parties involved, but bleh.

Diane Kruger and Tea Leoni are more than "pretty hot".As far as Cage goes, being Francis Ford Coppola's son probably doesn't hurt.Watched Next last night. It was okay, but I wouldn't really recommend it as there's nothing really ground breaking or super interesting in it.
But, as I'm watching it, I'm thinking WTF did Nic Cage step in to get so effing lucky? His love interests, girls whom he has gotten to roll around naked with in movies include:
Vanessa Marcil - The Rock
Angelina Jolie - Gone in 60 seconds
Jessica Biel - Next
Bridget Moynahan - Lord of War

I like Kruger more than any of the others listed. Leoni is in the mix somewhere.
Viewed as black comedy/politcal satire, I thought it worked well. I agree Hanks wasn't the best choice, but if you look at pics of the real Charlie Wilson he didn't look like a hard-drinking womanizer either. And yes, Roberts was terrible. But what else is new.

If you didn't like the first one, stay faaaaar away from the second one.
I thought the same thing before I watched Juno and was pleasantly surprised.

I watched this last night. I have to agree with Drifter's original post. It's just too...campy I guess is the best word for it. Too bad -- it could be really cool if they took it more seriously.

Think that was me that talked about it in here. Pretty sure I didn't talk about how awesome it is. I remember saying that incest was a topic it covered, and that was probably enough of a basis to keep most people away.
