This was an unexpected start given that Doughty threw up repeatedly before the game because he had some sort of stomach bug, but Horton was by all accounts all around the ball all day yesterday and was as impressive as his stats would imply. It's definitely something to watch.

Both guys were obviously well-scouted by the team as both have shown flashes already going back to the preseason. Moore has the better pedigree, as evidenced by his selection before Horton despite having a knee injury he was recovering from. The problem is that both are looking good, and both figure to compete with each other for one lineup spot as Landry, who is only a year older and who looks very much like an NFL (if not a FF) stud figures to be a fixture at FS for a long, long time.
both Horton INTs were off deflections so it wasn't that he made great plays, more like being in the right place at the right time. but i'm sure it won't go unnoticed to his coaches that in the one game he started he made more plays then Doughty has in a lot more games.
