Report from Lions camp 7-26-07 (1 Viewer)

Dan Orlovsky took the No. 2 snaps at quarterback but Drew Stanton got some work, too. In an hour or two, I'll have more on Stanton's first day -- I thought it was pretty interesting.

...I am now curious

T.J. Duckett is still running with the ball high and tight, a la former Giants RB Tiki Barber. Duckett looks very good, very solid. He's going to be a load in the Lions short-yardage and goal-line rushing attack.

I think it is becoming more clear that Kevin Jones is not going to be a fantasy factor in the early part of the season and maybe even longer. The foot doesn't sound like it's completely healed and he's packed on some extra pounds now too according to Kowalski. I don't want to use the Domanick Davis analogy from last year, as KJ will likely suit up at some point this year. But Tatum Bell and maybe even Duckett are looking a lot more valuable in early drafts. I doubt KJ will be effective until at least a couple of months into the season.

me too. took him at 2.1 in a 2-QB dynasty and very much hoping he pans out.

In the last five seasons, 67 running backs have had at least 50 short-yardage carries (between 1 and 3 yards to go):

T.J. Duckett ranks 44th

At the goal-line, Duckett acquits himself far better...of the 50 RBs with at least 20 goal-line rushes over the last five seasons (1-5 yards to go):

T.J. Duckett ranks an impressive 7th in TD%
