Yes, it's a fantasy question, but I'm trying to be non-partisan being a White Sox fan before I pull the trigger. Who would help me more from here on out? I'm looking more toward fantasy playoff time in a month and a half or so. K's are 1 pt each, innings are 2 each and wins are 10 each. I should take Danks, the proven commodity, right? If not, give me reasons to quit drinking the White Sox Kool Aid

i voted danks, but i wouldn't say easily. much stranger things have happened than a 23-year old who's never topped 140 IP falling apart down the stretch in a horrible park for pitchers.

liriano carries risk, but it's not like danks' is a proven workhorse. he is healthy and has a job, however (and, of course, is pitching out of his mind).

my gut tells me danks has to, at least, have a bit of a correction.

i'd still take danks, unless your team is way behind in the pitching categories and you need to swing for the fences. unless danks is going to win a unanimous cy young, a monster 2nd half isn't in store. it probably won't happen for liriano either, but it's possible.

I actually don't think Liriano will be called up for a while. None of the young guys deserve losing their spot in the rotation and the Twins have some weird fixation with keeping a veteran presence, even though Livan is the worst full time starter in the majors.

I went with Danks. After he pitched well in Texas except for an 8th inning mistake against that lineup, I was sold. I'm not expecting an ERA under 3 for the rest of the year, but a 3.50 ERA and about 6 or 7 K per 9 should equate to about 6 or 7 wins if he ever gets any run support.
