Ronnie Brown (1 Viewer)

Might as well start it...

Ronnie Brown finally had a decent game. I'm sure there are going to be many looking to move him after today's performance. Wondering:

Folks who want to part with him -- what are you looking for in return,

Folks who want him -- what are you prepared to part with,

And finally,

Folks who are going to hold onto him -- what's your logic?

Cheers,

I traded him for Matt Schaub in a dynasty earlier this week. I needed QB help as the only other option I had was Jason Campbell. I still have Frank Gore, Marshawn Lynch, LenDale White and the handcuffs to come with them, as well as Derrick Ward, Jesse Chatman. Deep rosters. Going to win that league thanks to Kevin Curtis most especially.

ETA --- Going to win this week in that league, nothing is certain as it is a rebuilding year. Still competitive though.

Brown>Schaub
Brown is soooooooooo much more valuable than Shaub. Brown is valuable. He had the big game today, so sharks have to decide what to do. Brown got all the work, he was successful, and I think you are going to see more of that!

I own him in 2 of 3 leagues (one was a keeper, the other got him in late third round and it was too much to pass up). It ssems like the obvious choice to get rid of him, but again, he was a late second/early third round selection for most. I have been OK with his production and have other "fish to fry" on my roster, so I may just keep him unless I can package him for someone special.

I'm holding onto Brown. I think he's going to be a top 5 RB. If not this year, next year for sure. It's why I drafted him (Dynasty)

All year long there were the "Brown is a bust" posts. But just like last year he will finish as a top 10 RB and that is what you drafted him to be. Sure it isn't uber sexy like having a top 3 back but his final ranking will justify his draft position.

Im looking for steve smith or chad johnson for ronnie brown.

Although im tempted to trade alexander and keep ronnie brown after todays peformances

He has carried the ball 20+ times 9 times in his career. Six have been 100+ yard games. Hopefully, Cameron will recognize this.

I'm keeping him.

Drafted Ronnie fifth overall in a start up dynasty last season... have been very disappointed for the most part--particularly because I took him ahead of SJax, who went sixth. That hurt. However, I always saw the talent and felt that he just needed the right supporting cast and opportunity, so I have not really considered moving him. The offers I've received have been in the WR2 range, and they just weren't equitable in my opinion given Ronnie's upside.

It's only one game, but it was a huge game, and it appears that perhaps Cameron now realizes what he has in Ronnie Brown. I don't think now is the time to sell Ronnie in a dynasty league. As one poster said, he certainly has top 5 potential. In PPR leagues he has the potential to be absolute gold.

If that was a "decent game", I look forward to him having a great game.Ronnie had an LT-like game today. 200+ total yards, and 3 TDs on the road. Led the team in rushing and was 2 yards shy of leading it in receiving as well. There was no sign of Jesse Chatman (or any other RB for that matter). I think it looks like Cam finally figured out that he has a talented RB on his team. It is tempting to try to sell high, but at the same time you may be giving up a top 10 RB in the process. If Cam continues to use him like he did today, with multiple passing targets and 20+ carries even in a game in which they are losing, then Ronnie may turn out to actually out-perform his ADP. The OL has had 3 games together now, and might be starting to gel a little. There is the potential for further improvement there as they get more games together.

I have not watched the game yet, but I intend to. It sounds like Ronnie was finally given a chance to be featured, and he demonstrated why he should have been all along. I have no intention of selling personally.

I have been a Ronnie supporter since the beginning and begging for Cam to give him the opportunity to be the focal point of the offense like he was today. No one can expect solid production out of him on a weekly basis. The Dolphins O is still bad and they won't be playing the Jets every week. If I could get a consistent scoring RB for Ronnie after this week I would take it.

i suspect i'll stay the course.edit to add: amazing how these threads pop up....weather it be a good week or bad....if you want to trade the guy , DO IT, don't ask for opinions

:lmao: Guess I should have worded that one better... Although in many formats, one more receiving yard would have added at least another point to his final FF score & a possible bonus for going over 100...

So what happened to Chatman today? Is he hurt, or did Cameron finally wake up and smell reality?

Makes a big difference for anyone who has to decide if Ronnie Brown is a buy-low or a sell-high.

Drafted Gore, Ronnie Brown and Marshawn Lynch in that order in a 14 team redraft league. You must start 2 RB's. Those are the only RB's I have on my roster. None have the same bye weeks. Therefore I will always have at least 2 stud RB's to start every week.

I'm not trading Ronnie Brown.

in redraft, i unloaded brown this week from a flex spot for kevin jones. made a deal with a unhappy fitz owner for branch. left curtis on the bench next to the empty space that was jennings. i did switch bulger for favre tho, so i broke 20 pts this wk.

Wow he's a uber stud this week!

IMHO you'll all be crying next week with his inconsistent play! If it's redraft I say trade em' while he's hot!!

Looking to sell high for a buy low in Lee Evans.

:sarcasm:

I don't own him, but I have no interest in him either. I was offered him and DJax for Portis last week. Turned it down. I'd turn it down again this week, too.

Is there a little smiley guy icon that is painting a sign that says "sour grapes"?

Yeah, what is the deal with Chatman. Did he just sit today? Did his leg hurt? I mean the guy is not good, he is a spot releiver at most, and Cam finally made the right move whether forced or not. so.....1) Was Chatman hurt2) Did Cam wake up and realize he needs to run Brown3) Did Wayne H pull Cam aside and have a little one on one chat

Any insight on the Jets running defense? They're ranked 19th in yards per game, not very good but not terrible. I haven't seen any of their games this year. I know Miami is not good this year, and obviously you don't expect a repeat of this type of performance by Brown, just trying to get a feel for how bad the Jets are. If Cameron sticks with Brown can we expect reasonable RB2 numbers from Brown against average defenses?

Maybe Cam saw the light this weekend.

If Ronnie can get 20-25 touches a game, he should produce decent numbers. Let's don't jump to conclusions here, it was the JETS, but Ronnie could begin to produce according to his ADP.

I don't think you'll get a SELL HIGH after one week, if RB produces again next week...maybe, but why?

I'm keeping him for the long haul and hoping this is the turning point in his season.

Here is a trade I just made that included Brown in one of my dynasty leagues. My team needed to be mixed up

I gave

Rudi, Jennings, Leftwich and my 1st in 08

I got

R. Brown, Brady and Harrison

Holy cow. Unless that 1st rounder is the #1 pick and he gets McFadden, this could be the most 1 sided traded I have seen in a while.
