I am holding on to him as my #2 behind Warner in 2 leagues. I have Schaub and picked him up thinking that he was decent last year and he plays in a pass-happy offense with a good surrounding cast. I'm holding tight and also hoping I don't have to use him. Guys like Hill, Collins, Frerotte and Quinn are on the ww. I like Rosenfels' upside more than theirs.Wondering aloud if he has any value in a re-draft league? He has CLE this week and JAC next week...seems like he may be a viable option for the QB challenged. Dodds has him ranked as a low end QB1 this week...can he redeem himself to earn that ranking.
Same here, but with Garrard as the other option. Rough QB year. There are zero FA's out there too. *sigh*I have no choice. I waited on a QB in a 14 team league and grabbed Schaub and Bulger. I happened to be at my computer when Schaub went down and grabbed Rosenfels. So far that was like catching a falling knife. It has been one ugly year for me at QB.
Of course, their run defense is even worse.Against that Run D & considering Sage's struggles...Indy twice now, Minny & Baltimore...I think it'll be more the Slaton - Green show & less the Sage passing show.Cleveland's pass defense is pretty bad......
Forgot to remove Ben from my starting lineup last week...accidentally scored 24 pts last night.Oops.I'm leaning to him. Over Ben R and Pennington. He's due.
good luck with that, im a homer and Sage is so careless with his throws....and seems to overthrow on almost all his passes. You might end up with the 4 int game really.I'm probably starting him over Brees.
You obviously didn't watch the Baltimore game. Twice dropped back in the pocket, went through his progressions, and cooly hit Ray Lewis between the numbers with NOBODY else around. Like he was color blind.I'm also on the Sage bandwagon, as I have Schaub and Campbell in a 16 team league, and I drafted Sage as backup insurance since there are never any qb's on the wire. I also have AJ, so Sage's struggles are killing me x2.I would not be too critical of Sage's performance against Baltimore, since they have a nasty defense and make a lot of qb's look bad. I'm not sure what to think of Sage's performance last week, as I didn't see any of the game (other than highlights) until the Texans' final possession when Sage made that horrendous INT, although that was his only turnover of the game, which is an improvement. Last week, was Houston running the ball so well that they were sticking with that for the most part, and that's why they weren't passing much?Cleveland's pass defense is pretty bad, and they are coming off a short week to prepare as well. The only way this matchup could be better is if it was @Houston.
Unsafe in any league.Rosenfels, Safe in small doses?
I would add however that I like the matchup better because it is in Cle and not Hou. If the Texans were at home I think they'd have the lead and would run more. In Cleveland they are more likely to be behind and having to throw. My league doesn't penalize for picks so that makes Sage alot more playable.I'm also on the Sage bandwagon, as I have Schaub and Campbell in a 16 team league, and I drafted Sage as backup insurance since there are never any qb's on the wire.
